Definitely would be. It’s a blast to shoot. And the unreliability was a magazine issue. Got some new ones in and it runs like a champ

Maybe malfunctions caused by rim lock? Common 32acp problem and a good reason to only carry ball ammo in this caliber.

Good thought but it was the magazine. I replaced it and the guns run 100% reliably. But rimlock is a very common problem if you’re not paying attention when loading magazines.

@@conceptualconcepts6.9 Most reviewers on KZread are oblivious to this issue. This is also an issue with many other firearms that utilize magazines.

@@lynnkramer1211 yes and since I had only 1 magazine at the time of filming I couldn’t confirm. The other issue could have been me riding too high on the grip causing too much friction on the slide or the added weight from the red dot making it have trouble cycling. I never blamed the gun and even mentioned all of this during the video. After receiving a new magazine I confirmed it was a magazine issue and have made that clear.

@@lynnkramer1211 🤦‍♂️how am I crapping all over the gun? In the review I said it was an awesome pistol and in my comments I said it was the magazine not the gun. I like the gun, I carry it semi regularly even. I think you’re misinterpreting what I’m saying. And yes I’m aware of berettas history. Beretta is also my favorite pistol manufacturer. I carry a 92 compact or PX4 most days. I have nothing but love for them.

How many rounds were you loading into the magazine when you had your problem? I’ve seen other KZreadrs that say you can put eight in the magazine, but then they’ve had the same problem you did. I believe the owners manual tells you not to put more than seven.

So the magazine that came with the gun has witness holes all the way down to the 8th round. If this is a known issue and not a magazine issue I do find that concerning. There are ways to eliminate that if so. I.E. a magazine block and not providing a witness hole for the 8th round. This pistol has been in production since 1996 and if beretta hasn’t redesigned that then shame on them. However my previous tomcat INOX had no issues with fully loaded magazines so I don’t believe that’s the problem. I’ll check the owners manual later tonight to verify. My only other thought on this issue is that between the extra weight on the slide (red dot), and the magazine pressure from the 8th round that it created a unique problem to the LTT beretta tomcat. However if I know this then I’m happy to take the trade off of 1 less round for the benefits this pistol gives. I will post a short once I receive a new magazine to confirm whether it’s an inherent issue.

@@conceptualconcepts6.9 How come your magazine has witness holes going down to the 8th round? My official Pietro Beretta mags for my 3032 only have 6 witness holes going down to the 7th round, in accordance with the advertised capacity of 7+1; why is your magazine different? Was there a revision that caused this difference?

@@tactilecola5709 this was an honest mistake on my part. Most pistols I own the witness holes start at the 3rd round and counting is hard lol. My 3032 magazine starts at the 2nd and I didn’t bother to honestly count, the magazine holds 7 rounds so actually I can only load 6 rounds in this one for it to load reliably. I’m sorry for the misinformation there 😅

I have a 3032, beautiful pistol, rosewood grips... I would never use it as a carry pistol.. it is very heavy for it's profile and caliber. it is very Wide, making it hard to conceal. It is frustratingly unreliable.

That’s a fair assessment and I can’t knock you for that. My experience has been different though. My previous tomcat was very reliable so long as I cleaned it regularly and made sure the rounds in the mag weren’t rim locked. this one came with a bad magazine. Since I got some replacements it’s been 100% reliable but I’m only about 150ish rounds down with the new mags. It is large and heavier than alot of pocket pistols. To me concealability and carrying feels more like a J-frame. And while the caliber might be anemic, the most important part of any pocket gun is shot placement. No pocket gun is a man stopper. so for me, the red dot means more than the cartridge. And this shoots more like a compact and is easy to make hits at well outside what most people can shoot other micro pistols. Just my 2 cents.

@@conceptualconcepts6.9 you make good points, I really like small pistols. I have 4 Berretas in .25 and .22 and enjoy the hell out of them. My 21a in .25 is a particular favorite. My 3032 has been rather disappointing. I have more than one magazine, it doesn't seem to make a difference. I load them carefully. The gun is immaculate, as are all my firearms.

Hey thanks man! As of currently I would definitely carry it with a few things in mind, 1. Downloading the mag by 1 round 2. The 32 ACP is very underpowered. 3. Limited capacity. The shooting experience is unlike any pocket pistol around. Its light recoil, good trigger and red dot capability makes it a very usable pistol. I might download a short doing the T-Rex pistol drill because it’s just that capable which makes it the most shoot able pocket pistol on the market in my opinion. Which is where I honestly might carry this from time to time.

@@conceptualconcepts6.9 New ones have a skeleton trigger, threaded adjustable rear site, finger extension mag. So now you need to get a current model gun to review. This is obsoleted now. Try shooting this way: Crotch shot, gut shot, heart shot, melon shot. That way the gun fires sooner and gets more deadly as you go upwards. There is no stutter like when you do two to the torso, one to the dome. Show us your carry holster. Shoulder holster or pocket holster? I go with Milt Sparks from Garden City, Idaho.

@@lynnkramer1211 threaded adjustable rear sight? I think you’re confused. The new 30x has a dovetail rear sight and can be replaced with an optic mount. There’s a lot of reasons why you don’t want a dovetailed red dot sight. Main one is it can be knocked out of place. The LTT’s optic mount is milled into the slide, a much better and more stable option. Also, the new model won’t accept the old mags so you’re stuck with extended mags. Which makes the gun even bulkier. But every other frame feature on the 30x is probably better in argument. This LTT also has a LTT trigger job and I much prefer curved triggers to flat (that’s preference though) I don’t believe obsolete is the best term to describe the difference in models, I’d just say they offer different things. But as of current production, I’d prefer the LTT over the 30x. Primarily because of the red dot mounting solution.
