Langar is a practice a food system which is based purely on love, compassion, humility, devotion and oneness no matter which part of the world you come from. Langar was started by the first Guru of the Sikh Dharam, Guru Nanak Dev JI. They called it a True Business "Sacha Sauda", where 20 rupees were given to the Guru by hes father to invest and make money, the Guru chose to invest it in such a business which remains as fruitful as it was back then. Aston University Sikh Society get together annually to share this belief of langar with everyday colleagues of their university and the everyday person that cuts across Aston Uni to get to work or college.
