The way you go up and bend that note in the solo is just so perfect! Nice little amp with much on tap! Thank you!
That’s such a cool riff there Pete-very nice!! Great Job putting everything together as well… as always, I enjoyed watching this demo👍🏼
Pete casually puts out LP worthy tunes for demos. Another killer one.
Great solo. One of my favorite amps I’ve heard on your channel
I really appreciate vintage designs with modern features, great review as always!
Sounds like everything else you play....amazing! So many great ideas and a compact size.
I don’t wanna wait 17 hours. I wanna see this right meow! Fast forward to now having watched it & I am loving this amp! I love that it leans on the Bassman side of things. I also love that it’s a strong pedal platform setup with added Two Notes! I am soooo all about that! It sound so sweet!
An excellent composition as usual Pete! Love that (Thorny) melody. Also that bit at the end of the vid with the reverb reminded me of the song "Can't get this stuff no more" for some reason. Anyway, that was a perfect product demo... very informative, easily comprehended, and you flexed all of the product's key muscles. Well done!
Augh....great tones Pete! I love this level of gain as well.
That is a terrific-sounding amp, Pete, great with pedals also. Winner.
Amazing work as always Pete
All sounds great! And WOW that solo was 🔥🔥🔥
If Fisher Price made an amp Pete would make it sound like a million bucks.

Pete could play with a Squier through a Crate solid state amp….and he would sound like a Robben Ford/Dumble amp combination!
This sounds phenomenal. Great demo Pete 👍
I have seen a lot of your videos, but this sound is exceptional. I need to checkout this amp.
Loving these amp vids Pete. Your playing is really on point these days man, fantastic stuff.

That last solo rocked!! So well constructed! This amp sounds REALLY good. The clean tones aren't wimpy either. ANd the Two Notes being installed is really awesome too! I can see a use for this amp.

I second that. Pete always comes up with amazing musical intro's which showcase the amp in the best way. I'm not really familiar with Laney amps, but this clever head sounds really sweet.

Agreed. So well produced too, that tone just cut right through with a perfect eq.
Pete, watching you mess with the knobs to tweak the tone reminds me of what I used to do for hours on end for years back in the day. Great job on this review and getting these great tones! Glad to see Laney is still in the game. I really like the idea of built-in attenuation, especially if it’s after the power output stage.
Wowzers! That sounds incredible Pete!!!
Wow Pete, thank you for your videos. You're such a nice guy and you have so much passion for music (and especially playing a solid rock guitar :D) that always motivates me to make music myself. Have a great day!
Good lord ... I mean I just had to watch the intro 3 times in a row because it is just so f'ing awesome. Melodic, interesting, blazing, a little atmosphere and a little higher gain and all killer, no filler. If that won't sell people on the tones in this amp I don't know what will.
Fantastic Intro music and playing as always, Pete! Truly hope you've been well! Great sounding little amp with big amp features. Stay groovy and keep on Rockin' Bruddah!
Sweet amp and great review as always Pete
Damn, that sounds really awesome and would be a nice practical amp for rehearsal and recording!
Really liked that demo song. Also, great technology, with the two notes hardware/software.
That was cool, I love the open spounds
Wow, that intro was amazing! Great amp too 😄
Another amazing rock classic on the cleaner side, candy to my ears, addictive tune on repeat mode:)
@pete ... super cool amp sir - as always .. amazing tunes ... well done sir and will take a closer look
Pete, another super amazing and tasty intro, like you are always giving us.
Um, this is the best tone I've ever heard from Pete imo, and his playing here is reflective of that tone.
Great intro ..! great playing as well and the sound is also brilliant...
Ty Pete another great review!
Absolutely awesome intro song and wonderful soloing Pete - you're an absolute legend!!

Great review as always. I can see a bunch of uses for this head. Wish there was a matching 1x12.
Beautiful use of arpeggiated chords in the intro song.
A great sounding little amp 👏🏻👏🏻
Fantastic playing!
Loving the Laney LA-Studio here! Even using the UK power version in the US with my 240VAC@50Hz converter!
You make anything sound amazing!!
That head is pretty as heck. Love the dials. Looks like my Black Country Customs TI Boost
Nice demo! Love the Two Notes and cab switch, hate the knobs😱
The first two minutes of this video should be playing on a loop while you work around the house. Could listen all day. Not to kiss up Pete, but your playing and writing has really gotten good. Oh, great amp too. Really.
Very,Very nice my friend.Really, really liking that tune bro.
Pete’s been practicing! Very enjoyable music
incredible opening track pete
Sounded awesome on the bridge single coil 👌😎
Your demos are amazing. I would love to hear an instrumental album.
Damn, ya know I work so hard to craft good guitar songs. Days, weeks, months even and I come over to Pete's channel and see that he just threw together another review like it ain't shirt rocks my sox, and I go back to playing drums....
Just put a Thornbucker in my New Squire Strat and WOW the that baby is never coming out thanks Pete !
Your an incredible guitarist Pete, that song was spot on. Thanks for not going the same route as every other guitarist today. (Mundane).

Awesome! Is this the new golden age of gear?!!
The straight amp sounds very King’s X/Ty Tabor-ish to me. Very nice!
Haha Pete that insane harmonic pull up at 1:14. That whole intro solo is incredible. Goddam legend!
I heard Pete’s next demo is going to be two soup cans connected by a string. It’s going to wail!!!!!!!! 💪💪🤯🤯 That demo was rad dude! You’re a beast
Nice amp, also noticed your compass rose pendant. I’ve worn mine for several years, small world.
Perfekt Pete!
Really nice tunes, Pete and as always well played. The amp sounds really cool but the first thing I would do after the warranty expires would be to install a Push Pull pot to control the gain of the second channel.
Very cool sounding amp. I like the build in IR , just like the PT 15. It’s the future for sure b
@PeteThorn

Yeah, with the PG 15 we went for a more modern three channel approach across-the-board, whereas this should please the vintage NMV purists that still want some modern tech
Okay I need that amp for my studio!
sound coming from xlr out is incredible
Wow!!! that lick at 1:20!! Great lick!
It's so beautiful.
The last part of the solo at 14-ish minutes in was slick.
Great vid!
man, laneys are great. had a tube fusion one a looong time ago, it was a very solid thing, sounded great. i´m eyeing a low watt laney tube amp for a while now, so....
Love Laney. To me they are right there with Marshall and Orange.
Such a damn good guitar player. Best I’ve ever heard.

Damn Pete, you're tearing that Suhr up!! I wish I could afford a red one like that.
Love the Taylor t-shirt!
Great playing as usual. Wish there was a db meter in the room. Me want.
Tasty playing.
Besides all the gear you demonstrate, everytime I'm blown away by the beautiful music you demonstrate it with. Are that improvisations or compositions?
That’s a really good looking amp
Dude I have been reading about this amp head super excited and first let me say that tune smokes… You Sure you’re not secretly writing a song for a new bond movie! Man I could see Chris Cornell singing vocal track with you on that
Is it weird that these are possibly my favorite tones of yours so far??
@PeteThorn
Жыл бұрын
No not weird, :) I think you just dig this type of full mid 60’s British sound! The amps got more aggressive in later 60’s, was a different thing…

@@PeteThorn I’m crazy about the Plexi era too. I actually got a Marvel Drive 3 after watching your demo and I love it. But this amp just… BREATHES. Haha. Beautiful stuff man.
That lick starting at 1:19... OMG, dude you kill it... 😂
GREAT ´KING VID .. as always!! I had the TI15 IOMMI cab a while ago - with a 1W input that actually engaged at a different part of the circuit - instead of using a switch. Plus had a BOOST ! Was great for a gig in a 100capacity pub .. the ONE Watt was still loud as hell for the gaff. 😀 I am keen to replace it with the SUPER CUB 😁€450 for a combo seems a BARGAIN. Love, Peace & Volume from MADRID
damn, that amp sounds killer

Alright PETE, have not seen Much Laney Stuff in a long time, should be good Demo, of course it will be a Killer tune
I like that Suhr is letting Pete demo other amp brands now.
Cool amp!
Great review, and excellent playing 🎸 Were all of the effects pedals in front of the amp, or did you do some stuff in post as well? If this amp had an effects loop, like the L5T, it’d be a perfect bedroom/studio amp. Even without one, it’s pretty close.
It sounds like a really cool amp, Pete! But i just can't get into IR output tones. Your recording sounds fantastic, so you clearly know how to make them work. But when I hear the A/B to your real cabinet, its such a difference. When I do use virtual tones, I always find myself asking, "How much better would a speaker sound?"
I hope all manufacturers start providing low-watt versions of their amps with integrated load boxes (not that I need any more amps!).
I was looking at the 30 watt LA30BL head. I was wondering about the wiring and components. PC Boards and are the power tubes the el84's on a PCB with any heat sensitive components. Like as I understand the Marshall dsl 50 2001 or 2002 I think were the worst years supposedly and sometimes needing another PCB to fix it. This according to an amp tech I visited. My Dsl 50 is a 2002 I think and it lost it's sound as I remember. I hope I didn't loose you on my journey. I am asking about it's ability to hold up for a time. Thanks . Luke.
I'm surprised that more amp makers are not doing this! With the onset of the PT 15 IR I thought this would be the new norm with tube amps.
@PeteThorn

It adds a fair bit of tech/engineering into the mix. Some probably don’t want to deal.

nice amp wish they had a laney dealer in Phoenix or even Arizona, sweetwater doesn't carry them either just to much hassel to buy, oh well maybe the used market in a year
Right on! Cool demo
So yeah -- gonna buy this one. Holy F....
Good golly, it sounded totally kickass when you clicked on the Archer pedal
Is there any thing comparable to this with higher wattage and FX loop? I'm thinking of buying this for my pc set up but also would it link well into a tascam dp32sd porta studio. decisions decisions
Hi Pete, really enjoying the new amp reviews. Which version of the Archer were you using for the lead?
@PeteThorn

Jeff Beck version!
I am sure you are tired of hearing what a phenomenal player you are
I prefer the tone from low wattage amps. My 5 watter sounds like a dream.
LOL, this EXACTLY wHat I have suggested. Now when someone does a Plexi this way so you CAN blast it VH style... thx Pete. I never thought someone would think similar to me given the technology...output tube distortion still trumps preamp gain, subjectively speaking
Hi, how would it work with something like my HX-Stomp for reverb, delay and other FX... as it has no FX loop?
Hey Pete, how did you set up the echoplex (or any delay really) since this amp obviously doesn't have an effects loop?
