    I enjoy how you scout out the perfect shot, Craig. I'm absolutely new to photography and am always on the hunt for more info on lenses that you professionals use. The music, once again, is just beautiful and it perfectly balances out your final shots. Thank you for sharing your work.

    Many thanks Craig, I have not been the Lake District for many years and it was great to all those classic views. I remember in 1989 also when I walked through here whilst doing the ' Cumbrian Way ' from Ulverston to Carlisle. I do hope that you shall do more...

    I was there yesterday and took two camera, I was downloading some of my better photos this morning which were very difficult and painful for me to take. Then my wife decided to ask what I want for my evening meal. Suffering from yesterday I put a card back in my camera and formatted it as I always do, only I hadn't downloaded the photos from that card. Have you ever seen a 56 year old man cry? I even had a very low flying jet from over the A66, bracketed shots of the bridge plus many more. I even used my flash videos off camera for a massive green rock in the woods. If you weren't such a gentleman I'd use the words that really describe how I felt, but a lesson learnt the hard way and the only person I let down was myself. As always superb video and it was watching this the first time that let me know the area was fairly accessible and there were some great shots. I straight back up though the next day there is snow on the hills and I'm off.

    A hard lesson there Mark, but I'm sure it's too late now and I hate to say it therefore, but you can recover images from a formatted card, as long as you don't start to use it again! Hope you got some good shots on day two though.

    e6 Vlogs Thank you, a very hard lesson by fortunately the only person I let down was myself and there wasn't anyone expecting the photos for any reason. It could have been a lot worse.

    Really nice vid Craig, but i have a question, as a photographer, we are always chasing great light and time is usually against us, so why don't more photographers take a mountain bike with them, it allows you to get around a lot quicker.

  • @e6Vlogs

    +Jillian Dennis It's a good point Jillian. I have on occasions reached a certain viewpoint by bike, if it is not accesible by car, but quicker to reach than by foot. I even modified the bike carrier to hold my tripod! Is this something you do yourself?

    Watching this in 2017, it seems rather ironic that you commented that there hadn't been enough rain to cover the base of the Centenary Stone. It probably didn't stop raining from the day you left till about March 2016. Loving the videos but how about a few more pics of when the light was right and what you did to get 'that' image instead of just telling us that the conditions aren't quite right.

    Can't see the point of making square pic's, does your eyes see in square section. esp landscapes...

  • @e6Vlogs

    @e6Vlogs

    +isleman44 I think many viewpoints do suit a square format, just as some look better in the vertical or panoramic format. Rectangular formats make you view a scene a particular way, whereas the square is quite unbiased.

    +isleman44 Square pics work for me when they're conveying a certain atmosphere, hard for me to explain how i feel about them, I do like them but the composition needs a certain type of magic to pull it off, and what I've seen here...it was executed well and worked for me.

  • @isleman44

    Quite agree with the points raised, however, The square picture format does not lend itself to landscape pictures, you can crop top and bottom, or side to side depending on vertical or horizontal pic's. the picture I had in mind was the jetty shot, squared, all that says to me was the rest of the pic was not worth showing. and landscapes are 4x3 or widescreen. no further comment to make..

    I agree with you, I've never shot a square pic, it's one of the reasons I don't use instagram, but I have seen some really great ones, not that I could pull it off, especially older classic photos, controversial topic I guess, I think I'll stick to wide for landscapes though, and portrait for certain situations! ;)

    Beautiful images but they have been done for decades and these locations have been flogged to death. I think it's time us photographers should get off the "beaten tracks" and find some new perspectives. This year I am going to try my best to ignore the standard locations and look for new positions to plant my tripod.
