​​​​@@louisaugustus8338 It's called Top of Descent, around 250 miles from destination. Thats the point where cruise phase ends & initial approach begins. Thereafter about 20-30 minutes of intermediate & final descent stages. Following ATC tower approach route via GPS waypoints, pilots have navigation aids like ILS : RF beacons of glideslope, localizer, outer, middle & inner markers till final / short final approach. Then they visually identify "Runway in sight", continue landing approach till minimums - which you can hear the flight computer read out @ 10:04 . The aircraft also has radio altimeters which display & read out the above ground level (AGL) clearance / altitude which you can hear at 9:50 onwards. Larger airports have instrument landing (ILS) + visual aids like PAPI lights for vertical (altitude) & horizontal adjustments.
