Kicking in a little rudder to stay on Centerline as well as adding some much needed power because of sink rate. End result was a Great landing.

Just what STOL is designed for. I’ve seen landing distance quoted at 950 feet, which is over a 50 foot obstacle, to full stop, in adverse conditions. Low and slow, with a headwind - a few hundred feet.

The reversers are the magic touch here.

400 mtr runway, he pulled off at 240 mtrs- very STOL.

The way the runway comes into view from the top of the windscreen is dramatic as heck. I was expecting some scary orchestra music and a jump cut to the pilot's face as he mumbles "you've got to be kidding me..."

for a year i landed at saba, every friday morning. out of st croix to saba, and return. useing a cessna 337 with stol.

What is that? A Twin Otter? Buttered the landing NICE did I hear reverse pitch going in there hence the dead stop? We used to do TAC landings in the C-130's doing this - stops on a dime. That runway needs an arrestor cable!😊 probably a steam catapult as well for STOLS

Saba the Queen, nice touch.

I drafted the very first approach, airport diagram, and crosswind chart for Saba.

Makes it look easy, but he has huge balls.

It’s because the plane they are in is a twin otter, it has incredible STAL capabilities

Kind of awkward with that overhead throttle.

Impressive flying. Lukla is slightly longer but you can only land in one direction, which ends abruptly with a rock mountain face.

What ground speed are you roughly over the threshold? Pulled up very quickly

I remember when landing on Saba there was a strange sound, like a siren, in the cabin for say 5-10 seconds prior to landing. My brother, who a that time was an SAS pilot, told me when we were on the ground that it was the stall warning sound. Ooops! We had a wonderful stay on Saba, by the way.

Any runway that short needs arresting cables and LSOs! My hat’s off to any pilot who flies in there and makes it look that routine.

This looks like it may be a drag-‘em-in power-on landing.

IAS looked about 80 KIAS on short final and around 75 KIAS stall speed with full flaps..

Flew into (and out of) Saba in a Twin Otter sitting in the first passenger row with a clear view of the cockpit. Looks real to me.
