It isn't often that we get the prvilege of seeing a Jamaica landing from the pointy end of an aircraft. Thank you for sharing with the KZread community! Have you ever flown the approach normally done taken by BA where you approach NMIA from the east, fly past the runway and then do a 180 degree turn to land?

BArBAdos Fan normally 12 is the more favorable runway due to the winds. And with our route we are usually coming from the west. But there has been a time we flew around the island coming from the north and did just that yes!

From my view, 12 is used for over 80% of take off`s and landings due to prevailing E-N-E winds - 30 is basically used in the mornings.

Which school did you learn to fly currently preparing for school by next year haven’t found any school as yet... any advice?

Tyron Patrick i went to flight school in Ft Lauderdale Florida. My biggest advice would be to get the written exam out the way first that way you can focus on flying.

Douglas I did not have the connection for the mic jack and yes was getting vectors for the ILS
