Aww you both are good people!!! You recognize the hardship a guy like he has endured and deserves to win because he’s truly talented and we love underdogs!

People will always hate on singers that win AGT, but this guy deserved it. He sang with soul & power

I saw him live in Bethesda, MD and after the concert he came out to the lobby and shook hands with the attendees and thanked them as we were leaving. I've been to over 100 concerts in my life, and that has never happened before.

This is the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. You can hear that this is a voice of a person that went through a lot in their life, it is a voice of a fighter and a winner. Just wonderful. Goosebumps

Best singer and winner ever of AGT. I stay so upset they will not invite him back. He himself stated he's the only winner never invited to return as a guest.

@@meeeeeeeeeeeep It was most likely due to his criminal charges of domestic abuse, or the fact he abandoned his contract after the show. I'm not sure if he even deserved the charges, or what truly happened, but that's the most likely explanation.

My wife and I drove six hours to catch one of his first ever concerts. His show was worth every mile. It wasn't a million dollar stage full of sexy dancers. It was him and an orchestra on a cheap stage. His wife sang a great duet with him. He was a charming, unassuming gentleman. A down to earth guy that got the chance to show his talent. That was years ago now and we would jump at the chance to see him again. I hope fame hasn't changed him and that he is doing well.

Nobody in the world might even see this comment...my grandmom and I must have watched this about 100 times, it was always her fav video from anything in these talent shows. "Show me Murphy," she always said. "The guy from the USA who washed cars," I'm like...Gran...Murphy WON. With your boy Sinatra's song too. It only drove her to want to watch the video even more. Thank you for the memories with her, dude.

I cried too when I was watching his first audition on TV, my parents loved his performance. It was so emotional and touching with his world class singing. One of the very few contestants I still remember after so many years. My favourite 😍

Saw his first audition and was blown away and I'm just now getting to this performance..MAN! He OWNED that song..sang from the heart and it was the perfect..PERFECT song for him to end his AGT journey with. What a voice and a natural..seems like no effort for him to belt out these tunes..just like the legends did! So I gather he won ( going to look THAT up now) and he so deserved it. He has shown to be a cool cat, humble and courteous..thankful for everything in his life and I am glad he won..enjoy it Mr. Murphy..your earned it!
