    Jay. Could you please tell me which is best in icy conditions steep down hill 20%-25% set On or Off hdc? I found more control without it, only using low gear. Second which is the best tecniche when up hill on icy and the car is sleeping back? I used the brake and I almost died sleeping back with non road side protection. Hdc backwards may be? Thanks you

    Wow, what an amazing channel. I’ve owned D3s, D4s and a D5. Have been looking to get the new Defender but watched some of your D3 videos and am inspired to go back to a D3 as it has that lovely retro feel and of course is the most practical of all LRs. Brilliant !!!

    Hi Thanks for the video. I do a bit of beach driving (very soft sand at times) so have always used the cactus mode, but manually turned off traction control - I have never been sure if this is ok in my D3 due to all the automatic settings, and what cactus mode might need but general rule of thumb in my network is always turn traction control off when on beach- thats why I do it, and never had any issues. Would appreciate any advice though as to whether this is the correct approach. Thanks

    Without the extra wash wipe function I think my l322 would just not reach the pinnacle of magnificence that we have come to expect, next time I am stuck I will attribute the extraction to this additional feature. Just having fun, it’s nice to know just how these settings work, thanks.

    Thank you for this good video. This helps to understand the terrain response system on my disco 3 V8 SE. But i have the downside that i don't have a rear locker and also not the navigation screen. can't check if it works on navi screen. ATB Raymond

  • @MilitaryMobility

    @MilitaryMobility

    3 жыл бұрын

    The rear locker is definitely a plus however the LR3's are very capable regardless. If your needs require a rear locker; we would recommend installing the ARB rear locker meant for the LR3. The added bonus is that you can manually control when you want the locker on or off vice the computer deciding when it wants it.

I use to service the Extinguishers and Fire alarm there in the 90's and can remember taking my Vauxhall Astra van off road to the follies and up a step hill to a wooden toilet block out in the countryside there!!

    Thanks, great video. First video I have seen that really make sense and go into details explaining all the advanced electronics in our cars. learned a lot, and used this new knowledge driving today in an offroad park close to Oslo, Norway. See video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZW2G0M6Rfqyxo6w.html Used Mud and Ruts, turned DSC off - worked really well. This was the first time I have turned off the DSC, and this helped. Much better feeling and response using the throttle. For some reason I have mostly been using Rock Crawling (driving same terrain as in video), but Mud and ruts gave better control. Looking forward to new terrain response videos.
