It changes the suspension height and lockers not just holds gears longer lol

You are very right about that, "low + normal" is the best for regular offroading. All other options only change the gear change algorythm and also sensitivity of accelerator pedal. You can operate gears by you self, of course. But the main problem, why combination "low + normal" isnt good in serious offroad - the system will not activate differential locks when its needed. In soft or muddy conditions for example. I use usualy: 1) in light offroad (driving on field for example, or on the forest road) only lift air suspension in higher level. Thats it. There is no risks to stuck. 2) If there is some light hills on the way, then I use "higher suspension" + "low range" + "normal mode". Also, put it on and just drive. 3) If there is some steep hills on the way, then I use "higher suspension" + "low range" + "rock". Its keep the first gear and activate locks if nacessary. 4) but if there is some slippery dirt or mud on the way, then I use "higher suspension" + "low range" + "mud". The same thing, locks are "locking-ready" in this mode.

This is so far from the truth. No mention of suspension height, throttle response, diff lock enabling, transmission threshold variations, HDC auto enabling, traction control overrides, abs, engine braking changes, etc This is not informative.

In sand terrain mode, the Range Rover works much better in sport mode , with 2nd gear selected, it provides great traction and a comfortable ride without the engine braking you get from having the transmission in "Drive"...( which defaults to first gear outside of sport mode )

That’s not all it’s doing. Do your research before “informing” others.

    This car is always 4×4?

Not 4x4 💯 all wheel drive. The transfer case and the rear differential will automatically lock and send power to others wheels, so it’s best of all worlds:)

After watching your video of the dashboard I need to get the manual out and read it for answers. You don't show what choices you are making or what the actual buttons in the control console do. Since they are not working in the car I thought this would explain them. No... Who needs to see you telling us what the dashboard already tells you. Please redo this video and show what you are actuating and keep it brief. This video is too repetitive and does not contribute to any understanding of the system.

Hi Bruce. Thanks for the feedback. Snow is about to fall in my area and I will redo the video in the snow with real world examples. As a personal note I truly think the terrain management system is a joke meaning it’s nothing more than a throttle response module. I’m not sure if you know what that is basically it controls the gas pedal pressure under the foot so you don’t spin the tires by accidentally giving it too much gas. Throttle control is a key factor for off-road. But stay tuned a new video is coming in December … thank you again.

Are you f'n kidding me?? "Redo this video" the arrogant entitlement you have is Wild. He doesn't need to do this; be grateful he did this much. Why don't you get your manual out and do the work yourself, you muppet.

@@4x2WagonFamily it also changes the air suspension and it engages a locker or not. I agree having a knob is a joke but it does do more than just regulate throttle and gear
