Really helpful video took 2 of us a couple of hours to get most of it off just the 10mm on the solenoid fused on so ended up cutting and splicing a new spade onto that wire access is very tight! When turning over new one might not engage solenoid properly to start with so try a couple of times and it should turn over

Pour enlever facilement le démarreur sur un Td4 2.4 il faut faire de la place. Il faut vidanger le circuit de refroidissement moteur et enlever les durites d'eau situées au dessus du démarreur ensuite c'est relativement accessible et le démarreur s'enlève par le haut.

Note if your starter dies in this fashion it will likely also blow the 500a mega fuse. Located in the black plastic case on the positive battery terminal. When changing your starter, use a multimeter to check voltage on both sides of the mega fuse. Even if it has blown all your other electrics will work!
