Simon - your videos are both 100% informative and fun to watch to boot. I managed to do this install without removing the front mud flap and left the sill cover just hanging in place while cutting the recess and also per your recommendation cut the noise cancelling plate in place also. Thanks so much. The Roof Rack Ladder video was also super helpful. Brilliant mate!!!

I've just fitted mine. 4 hours for the steps and the interior LED light upgrade (that was dead easy). You do not need to remove the front mud flaps or the front quarter panel. On the rear wind deflector just remove the outermost bolt and loosen the other 4 by two turns. Break the clips down the length of the sill cover working from the back to the front, but there is no need to remove the cover, it's very easy to cut the holes with the cover in place just allow it to fall slightly. I used 19 clips only.

Good video. But this fitting process is incredible, what a job. What about the integrity of the underneath of the vehicle with rot, rust from the elements after cutting chunks out of the trim. We have already seen the powder coat fail as shown in the video. This is not a cheap vehicle and the flagship of the "robust LR range" truly shocked. The side steps look poor. Was this an after thought from JLR?? Can't just be me that see's this...

The side steps are a nice design and a good use of lightweight materials.. the cast brackets are a neat design but your point about the car is not really "accessory Ready" is well made.
