The part where Feraligatr ripped off Quagsire's hands is brutal. It's no wonder why the "Bite" move is now part of the Dark-type category.

Amazing, the pain and darkness Silver feels, the horror Gold experiences, the sudden regret Ariana has when she sees all the worst parts of Giovanni in her son, just great work

Oh my god 😳 poor Quagsire. That was intense. Silver definitely has massive regret and Adrianna definitely sees it. The story line in this continues to evolve with incredible precision. Fantastic yet again.

Dude! I knew it was gonna get dark but I didn’t expect this. I love how great this story is so far and honestly it’s good to see how truly powerful Feralagatr is! I wouldn't worry to much about Quagsire, it is inspired by real life axolotl, a kind of cave salamander with amazing regeneration ability, it can regrow lost limbs. Quagsire will recover, same could not be said for other team members. Still, we feel the pain of this poor good boy.

Lance flashing back to when team rocket was in kanto, the arms getting ripped off to make quagsire more like wooper, the battle royale style fight between the four, and the paralells between silver and Giovanni. HOLY F***!!! Poor Gold…

This was a brutal episode. After watching this, I started looking whether Quagsires can regrow their limbs or body parts....similar to the regenerative properties of amphibians. I really wish if thats possible.

Yes, but there was a reason for that. the whole time he was manipulated by his parents into doing terrible things, and watching Red and Green being asphyxiated by Arbok, unable to do anything, while shaking with hesitation was very conflicting. not to mention that he had an older sister and never knew about it. The Croconaw forcefully evolved into Feraligar and became more violent because of the sound waves, which were being reproduced on the radio tower in Golden Road. Silver's fury and hatred probably also contributed to Feraligar's furious behavior, as he must have felt the same thing his trainer felt.

Poor Quagsire. That must have been painful. Thankfully, given their inspiration is from a salamander/axolotl, they look like they'll be able to grow their arms back given time. Let's be thankful it was with them and not any other of Gold's Pokemon, cause the damage would've been permanent.

The shot from silver staring down on ethan cutting to lance staring down on Clair really caught my attention. Clair's my favorite character and her personality and relationship with Lance are very different in the games, anime and manga, so I'm very curious to see your approach

Excited to finally get the first episode of 2024! This has got to be Silver's darkest episode next to the Feraligatr one. Geez poor kid is going through so much. And poor Gold and Quagsire! I hope Kris is able to help both of our boys heal through this mess. Another fantastic episode!

This episode is really great to start this new year with a bang. Now even someone like Gold will have PTSD from this event, poor Quagsire. Your storytelling is really insane, happy new year Pedro!

the quagsire may have been hurt but it will slowly regain its arms after this (axolotls can regrow limbs) but it still hurts. another one, when wooper was able to fight ice punch without hands, it was also quasire

Its so Scary When you just Pick the Starter u love the most But Never Knew its Pokedex entry 3:08 "When it bites with its massive and powerful jaws, it shakes its head and savagely tears its victim up" 💀😨

That's something i like to see with fananimation... it's the dark side of Pokemon, it's like watching an animated version of the manga but with the lore of the games... congrats Pedro, you have balls of steel since very few do that stuff.

I love how Lance has Batman moments here. And the darkest part of Silver coming out, even though you can see him hurt as he does so. Yet there's more to this, and to Lance and Silver's coming interaction, I feel it. I love that Lance can see the parallels. I can't wait to see how this further evolves.

Poor Quagsire. It’ll be interesting to see how Silver comes around from this encounter to where he is by the end of the game. Though I see signs of hope when he sees his team getting hurt and starting to feel for them. I also like that Crystal gets to get back in the game toward the end instead of just being a damsel in distress.

That shot of Lance towering over Petrel was hype! Tge battle was amazing, with my shock being amplified from seeing Feraligatr tear the arms off Quagsire! I hope Lance and Kris can pull Silver out of the darkness, because I think even Ariana is worried now. Overall a perfect start to the year with this episode!

Lance gives off heavy Batman the Animated Series vibes to me. I couldn't put my finger on it at first, but after a rewatch, that scene especially---and the way he wraps his cape around himself---the silhouette is very Batman.

Wow that is a way to kick off the year. I like the views that both Lance and Arianna have with Silver. With Arianna, starting to realize maybe Giovanni was right and Team Rocket is done as Silver becomes a cruel mirror of Giovanni. And with Lance, seeing a mirror of his past self especially how Ethan and Silver are posed to mimic his and Clair’s childhood.

Excellent storytelling as always! You can see the shock and pain Ariana is in as well, thinking "I helped my son turn into this brutal, bloodthirsty monster... Why didn't I remove him from Team Rocket?". Excellent as always! Happy 2024!

I know its a long way out, but I really can't wait to see the final act with Silver vs Ethan in Mt Moon. Where Silver has finally come to terms with everything he is and has seen, and learns from the lessons taught by Lance and Ethan on how to be a trainer. That battle ought to be legendary, Pedro! Just as much as the eventual Ethan vs Red. I'd almost argue that, at least story wise - Ethan vs Silver matters more.

Another brilliant episode. Who says you need dialogue to have a great story/animated series? Silver and his Feraligatr keep getting more and more brutal and I was not expecting it to do what it did. Can't wait to see how Gold gets through this.

Oh my god! I didn't expect this, but you can see that Silver was hesitant to hurt Gold's Pokémon or stop after all. Unfortunately, however, he went the wrong way. Despite what happened it's clear that Silver will have his redemption arc.
