I agree a lot with your thoughts about the song and Lana. It’s like making a simple thought into a dramatic journey of art, between music and lyrics
Imagine having fame, money, critical acclaim, then thinking….I was more free when I was a waitress and the world held possibilities. Lana often sings about the way in which fame can be stifling to someone that values freedom. It’s something to think about. You’re gaining and losing. Thank goodness she found a way to break free of some of the trappings of fame in order to keep her artistic integrity. She might lose some of the mainstream audience that way, but at least she has a level of freedom, and she can rest assured that the ones who follow are there for her art. I love her❤️
