This is one of my favourite song of Lana, this album is a piece of art. She brought the old money aesthetic to music, like Francis Scott Fitzgerald did with literature.

its a cruel world thats full of ultraviolence but it has its shades of cool because im a brooklyn baby who lives on the west coast with my sad girl she's pretty when she cries but she just wants me for my money power glory but too bad she fucked her way up to the top with my old money while i was with the other woman who i used to call black beauty. we would sit and sniff florida kilos, listen to guns and roses and wonder if this was happiness - The Story Of Ms. LANA DEL REY

+Laura Silva A lot of her music does that for me. It is a feeling of nostalgia for I don't know what. The first time I heard Bel Air it did that. So did Ride. Young and Beautiful....in fact most of them. I feel almost like a homesickness....and I haven't gone anywhere!

Laura Silva Have you listened to Terrence Loves You ? I literally need to be in a hotel with a drink in hand, watching the neon signs....staring out at the night...alone. And if you knew what an upbeat character I am in real life Laura! But it doesn't generate a sad loneliness, more a chosen solitude. Strange emotions heh!

My father’s love was always strong, my mother’s glamour lives on and on, yet still inside I felt alone for reasons unknown to me…🥀 whenever I listen to those lyrics I either tear up or get the chills or both. I strongly resonate with this kind of pain. It’s such a bittersweet way to describe how you could feel alone no matter what your situation is or even not being with the only person that understands you. Sometimes we don’t even understand ourselves so we keep searching for answers only to find out we don’t even know what we were missing, we end up losing ourselves in our own thoughts. Each person has a way of life and sometimes, nobody understands you and that leads to feeling an aching loneliness deep down inside - your soul, that’s when you start asking yourself those questions.
