For real, they really appreciate each other. I remember When I was on Abel's Madrid concert in the east track when he sang Less Than Zero I wrote in my poster something else in which he said: "Please Collab with Lana cause you know is your Stargirl" and he smiled at me, in fact it is a video on a channel that is an X❤O fan called Anything Abel in which it is titled "I flew across the world to see my favourite artist live" when Abel after jumping and sang a fragment of the song "I try to hide it, but I know you know me. I try to fight it, but I'd rather be free" he looked at me along with my sign and he made that gesture of affection while he was smiling again and little by little he was heading to the other side. The girl next to me warned me again that Abel looked at me again and asked me if I could point out the sign to take a photo or make a video. That means that he still has affection and admiration for Lana and that it is also another sign that he may be collab with Lana someday, let's hope so for this AMAZING COLLAB

This song could be about suicide. I think at the beginning of the song she refers to Peg Entwistle who jumped off the H on the Hollywood sign in 1932. So when they say "there's no need for us to hesitate", "let's take control", etc... it's like they are talking about committing suicide. And when they say "take off all of your clothes" it could mean "be who you really are", "don't pretend to be happy if you're not", then by saying "be the master of your own fate" they are saying "jump if that's what you really want". I don't think Abel is her dead boyfriend like some people think. For me he represents her darkness.... "there's nobody here, just us together" means she's alone, with her own dark side who "is keeping her hot like July forever" because she's burning inside (her own demons). She pretends to be happy, wearing red and smiling all the time, but inside she dreams of "blue skies forever" because she's sad. Her dark side is leading her to death. At the end she said she wrote twice to her boyfriend "there's no stopping now" like if she left a suicide letter before jumping, so she won't change her mind. "Greens light forever" means she's finally free. The boat made of red ribbon could refer to a poem by Charles Brent entitled "what is dying"

When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - In the Moment” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. Zachary so true!! the first song I heard by her was Burning Desire. I then knew she was going to be big. I love her style and how she doesn't have to try so hard to be relevant. she's the type of artist where every time you hear her music you feel like it's almost a private underground music club your apart of, and you forget that many other people know her music. It's like each song was just written for you! The music video was amazing!!

Seeing this after Lana del Rey's interview in Bazaar Magazine in which she claims that Abel was the last person she texted. I can't believe that Lana has written to Abel aka The Weeknd, that's a good sign that they are going to get together very soon for something creative. I remember When I was on Abel's Madrid concert in the east track between Less Than Zero or Blinding Lights I wrote in my poster something else in which he said: "Please Collab with Lana cause you know is your Stargirl" and he smiled at me, that It means that he still has affection and admiration for Lana and that it is also another sign that he may be collab with Lana someday, let's hope so for this AMAZING COLLAB 💕

It's said this song and video are reference to the old Hollywood actress who jumped from the H of the Hollywood sign, but I can see this video is also a great reference for Lana and The Weeknd's story in the music industry and how they conected with each other. Many of their songs talks about chasing fame, sucess, money and how all of this changed their life and the way they see things, so they both atop the Hollywood sign is reference to that. When Lana climbs the ladder, The Weeknd is there to give her a helping hand and there is a big focus on their hands. We all know Lana started catching the attention of the music industry after The Weeknd shared Video Games music video on his Tumblr, and I think by this time his work already had some recognition. So he litterally helped her to climb into fame, and we see this from Lana's perspective in video. And also we see them singing together in the top of the sign looking over at LA, the city of the celebrities, as if they had finally conquered the fame and sucess they wanted. Then Lana slides off the sign and The Weeknd follows her and we see them laying together, as a reference about how the fame also can destroy people and becomes their down fall. Again, in their songs, they talk about the dark side of the fame and the negative impacts it causes. However, they lie together looking peaceful as if they accepted the consequences of their choices and that they are together in this from the start to the end.

Wow I had never thought of that And that, I have known the career of Lana and Abel in 2014 but knowing their career separately until 2017 when Abel announced that he was going to collaborate with Lana through networks and I didn't realize that not only do they know each other but that they have been great friends for many years and admire each other. And what you really say is true, The Weeknd discovered Lana Del Rey through tumblr in 2011, and was the first one to ask BBC Radio 1 to put 'Video Games' on their playlist. In fact in an interview Abel admits that when he met Lana, he felt that he had found the girl who was writing in her songs, that is, I found her muse for her songs. The Weeknd and Lana met in 2010, the year in which the Weeknd launched "Trilogy", and it is seen that they became very good friends, so much so that the voice of a woman who sounds in "Lonely Star" is inspired by Lana del Rey and it should be clarified that Lana helped a producer the album, "BBTM".On the surface, The Weeknd and Del Rey might seem like very different artists. Now I can rest in peace that not only the song tells a tragic story of fame but also the story of improvement of some great artists who fight today with the extremely bad consequences that fame brings in the music industry, since the two together are invincible not only as artists but also as great friends. I think it pretty much sums up their "relationship" through music. I've been a fan of Lana since 2012 and I remember well how I found her music, it was someone who sent me the Video Games music video. I don't remember the first moment The Weeknd's work caught my attention but I know it was later around Starboy. I'm sure it was through their colaborations, I should have been listening to her songs and one of their colaborations (Stargirl or Prisioner) must have come up in the playlist. Then I started listening to his songs and I really got into his music. When you know their songs, you can see in their lyrics what The Weeknd said about Lana being the girl he talks about in his musics and how he is the guy she talks about in her songs. Today I was listening to "Wicked Games" and he says to the girl to bring her body and drugs, and he can bring money and fame, he doesn't care if she if doesn't love him, the whole song sounds as if he is a club with girls/dancers. But while I was listening I remembered the lyrics of Lana's "Religion" because she says "It never was about the money or the drugs" and "It never was about the party or the clubs" and "For you there's only love". Many of The Weeknd's songs talks about a guy who can't feel anything and how he doesn't care about the girl's feelings, which I think blinds him to see that the girl actually cares about him and the tragedy in this is that all he ever wanted was to feel loved. Meanwhile, Lana's song talks about how she loves the guy but he can't see that and because of that treats her badly/leaves her. Also, I think they have similars ways of writting because they both write scenarios in the songs, describing the surroundings, so it's like you are included in the experience they had and you can imagine what they singing.
