    The eerieness of Honeymoon really shines through in this... it sounds so dark, almost *evil*... then the bridge hits and for the rest of the song its like a colorful 60's flower child music video... the perfect musical equivalent for the hopeful disillusionment involved in the concept of a honeymoon in the first place.

    “There’s something in honeymoon, like this sense of real darkness in it, right underneath a beautiful exterior- true, genuine darkness, not played up to make the listener feel cheap emotions; if anything, it seems like Lana isn’t even aware of the black seeping into her melodies and lyrics. It feels like something inside of her is trying to make itself known through the song, something she won’t even acknowledge,” -paraphrasing/roughly how my brother once described the shivers that honeymoon can send down your spine. He’s much better with words than I am, but you get the point.

    everyone wants to hate on her singing, but no one compliments her on her amazing song writing skills. At least she ain't a fake ass pop star that got famous for singing and performing songs that were written for her just cause she is hot at the time. Lana literally has written hundreds of original amazing songs. Honestly the very few tracks she has actually released ain't shit compared to the vast and amazing shit she has never released. She is definitely no fake ass pop star. So fuck all haters :-)

    But what does this have to do with the interview or Honeymoon? The biggest duty of a singer is to sing, to be a good vocalist. I'm a fan of Lana but she's a C+ vocalist. She can do what Divas can't and divas can do what she could never do. Every artist is good or bad at something.

  • @tommasosilvestro

    @tommasosilvestro

    @@lizzygrant3781This is so unfair and such an ill-informed opinion. What makes a vocalist a C+ or an A? Is it vocal range? Control? Tone? All of it? Lana is able to make me emotional in ways that Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston could never. So what has an A, B or C got to do with being a good vocalist? This live versions of Honeymoon and Terrence Loves You are impeccable.

    I think a true artist is always surrounded by some mysteriousness. Never explaining the art or giving out too much because it breaks the magic. If they keep quiet, their music speaks.. If they babble in interviews you start to think about their actual personality too much when listening. Shallow artists don't have any message to subliminally convey anyway, therefore they have to give interviews to prove their real personality is cool and so their songs would become listenable and they would stay in the picture.

    Well Beyoncé and Christina are one of a kind. Personally, they’re not in my top favorite artists like Lana is, but as a fan of music period, I respect and value them in the music industry as we all should. Now, that being said, there are artists out there that sound like other artists and are not genuine in their own sound. Lana is DEFINITELY one of a kind. No one can really sound like her. One of a kind sound. That’s why we just love her and are always in such awe of her always. She also references other artists in her songs aka Elton John, Eagles, Lou Reed, Springsteen, Nirvana, etc. She values the other great music artists and that is what makes her so genuine. ♥️ I hope to meet her too!

    @@arnaldomanuel2755 not really they are trash and there are millions like them not hundreds but nobody is like Lana not a single artist or person that comes close to her also she is so pretty ugh. All other mainstream artist are real trash and not unique, just basic af. But not lana.

    @@maddeningmonk9585 Beyoncé is literally one of the greatest performers and greatest vocalists in history, and literally the last thing she is, is basic. it takes a lot of talent to sing, dance and do everything she does on stage, and for that she has won the admiration of the media, public, expert critics and artists like Prince, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and basically any music legend who has witnessed her presence in the world. your opinion is the complete opposite of reality and you don't have to want to be different or cool. you are not. there's just no one like her (its what any vocal coach says) and that's not going to change just because you want to be different or look cult. kzread.info/dash/bejne/Yq5pysmdd9y3d8Y.html

    Just... no... Christina Aguilera is one of the greatest vocalists of all time, nobady can do what she do with her voice, nobody. And Beyoncé, more than one of the greatest vocalists of all time, is also one of the greatest Performers in history and have an flawless discography. So, as a fan of both Beyoncé and Lana, I can tell that it's much easier to find another Lana Del Rey, considering that the only thing she does with excellence is writing, than to find another Beyoncé, who performs, sings, produce, and dance with excellence. Besides having political and cultural importance in her art. You guys look like teenagers who want to be different by talking this bullshit.

    The lyrics in all of her song never fail to blow me away, you can tell they come from the heart and her own personal life experiences which is hard to find in a lot of music in this day and age. In my humble opinion no one can top Lana or Bjork's music, just had to throw that in there.

    Lana is just getting better and better. Loved this live session.. Terence loves you is just about my fav track (currently !) from the album. Glad to say I loved this live version. What a talented and gorgeous (and down to earth) woman Lana is . Yet she attracts so many negative comments from detractors (sadly mainly women) who claim she has no talent/cannot sing live etc .
