I get that you don't have to be rude, but every truth can be told politely. She is getting very overweight and that's not healthy at all. Nobody can be happy at that safe. I lost 100+ pounds this year because of that feeling of dread when you have to carry extra weight unnecessarily.

She is fine. Not an unhealthy size unless it impacts blood pressure or other things. If I go above 125 my BP & cholesterol raises w each lb, so I have to try to stay below a certain point. As long as she doesn't have probs like that, she is great.

Honestly I think her gaining weight was the best thing that could ever happen to her because it helped her be more confident and realize she does not have to be perfect ❤️

I had someone point out to me I don't look like I did in my 20s I'm about 30 pounds bigger due to medication and age (37). It devastated me I can't imagine being a celebrity and having strangers attack your appearance as if it has an effect on them. Be kind to everyone

I feel ya on that medication weight gain. It’s horrible. Thankfully for me I was able to discontinue that medication and immediately lost the 30 lbs it made me gain.

Some of y'all don't understand the weight gain that comes with getting sober and happy. She is more beautiful than ever, literally glowing in every picture. To me this video is progress, mind, body, and soul.

Hi licensed nutritionist from Germany here and long time Lana fan. Yes, age affects our weight but getting older does not mean you cannot maintain the weight you‘ve had before. That being said it is true it is getting harder for some people when they get older, metabolism changes and they have to put in more effort! Other than that Lana seems to be on the upper scale of the BMI spectrum now but she is a tall woman and I don‘t believe she is at medical risk atm. Recent pictures also show that she lost a bit of weight again. So it seems she is settling somewhere in the middle between the lower scale of the BMI spectrum (Ride video for example she was scary thin in it) and these pictures. People also say "Lana does not have depression anymore", well I can say that Lana is dealing with various traumatic themes such as the narcissistic abuse of her mother as we know from different songs. I suffer from the same but it is my dad. Those things will always stay with you and mental illness etc comes and goes in waves so it is highly possible she sometimes takes medication some of it can cause weight gain. After all, I think it is her choice I just wanted to give maybe a more medical insight. If she is prioritizing other things as watching her weight atm and enjoys some food that is good for her soul and is enjoying life atm good for her. She probably fought many years to keep a certain weight and figure. Let her live a bit!! And Lana is beautiful with 10 pounds less or more, she looks so happy right now and is radiating

I agree- and there are some of us that no matter what we do we can’t shed weight- I’m one of those- I’m on carnivore, I drink only water and I walk and lift weights- and I have health issues- my body will not let go of the weight it’s carrying for the life of me! I used to run marathons etc and my knees can’t do it anymore so not all of us are just pigs - I need to lose about 50 pounds still- it’s maddening to me how slow my body is responding as I lose about a pound a month. Anyways, I’m glad I’m not in the limelight like Lana. Hope she’s happy.

Carnivore is a very stupid diet from diet culture that is very limiting on our diets and our bodies need a variety of foods. We can't get all the nutrients we need from just meat and water. Also not matter what our bodies look like, they shouldn't determine our worth, how we view ourselves, and what we decide to do with our day. Our bodies are a vessel, a home for us. We should take care of them rather than trying to change it into something that will only make things worse. A dream body isn;t a dream body if it is a nightmare to maintain.

I agree with most of what you're saying, BMI is a bullshit scale that was made by a white man in the 1800s that wasn't even supposed to be meant for medical uses. This could be the weight that her body wants to be at (from a dietian stand point) which is called the set point theory where our bodies have a number it wants to be at. No matter if we all ate the same, did the same exercise, and were literally living the same lives, our bodies wouldn't look the same. We don't know how much she is eating and it doesn't matter. I am very happy for her, but I hope she can get past all those hurtful comments which are only making things worse. She's been through so much already. I am also very sorry to hear about the stuff with your dad. You didn't deserve to go through that and I wish you all the best

I left an abusive relationship with a sociopath in February. I also gained weight afterwards but I had slipped back into anorexia at the end of the relationship after being free from that for 13 years. Be kind to people because you never know where they’ve been. Weight gain is a natural result from leaving an abuser or getting healthy from addiction and healing from trauma bonds. It’s a process. Be kind.

I don't understand why so many people judge Lana Del Rey for her weight gain. After all, as a singer, her job is to enchant people with her voice, her songs and her lyrics, not with her looks. Besides, she will turn 38 this year; celebrities are only human, just like us, and they get older and don't stay young forever. With age, the metabolism becomes weaker and many gain weight as a result, which is perfectly normal and natural. No matter what Lana Del Rey looks like now, she is still - and always has been - a beautiful, talented woman.

People nowadays are so used to all these unrealistic portrayals and beauty ideals of women that they don't even know what an ordinary woman looks like anymore. What I mean by "ordinary" is the majority. Many women have - believe it or not - belly fat or other places on their body where they store more fat. Women naturally have a higher percentage of body fat than men. Not every woman can have an hourglass figure with a plump lower body, a thigh gap, a magnificent chest area and a flat stomach - and that's not a bad thing. I have absolutely no idea where this nonsensical misconception that women need a flat stomach to be beautiful comes from. It wasn't always like this - Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love in ancient Greece, was depicted by means of a statue, with her figure having belly rolls. Aphrodite - I repeat -, the goddess of BEAUTY! Somehow it seems to me that people have forgotten what natural beauty is and that beauty is not a fixed concept. Beauty ideals are different in every culture - if you fit one, you contradict the other. Everyone is beautiful in some way - women as well as men.

A correction, though -- she deleted her Social Media before the weight gain (relating to mesh face mask "controversy" and all the buzz about her album cover photo for Chemtrails. There are a million reasons why someone might put on or take off weight... Half of SoCal is on Ozempic or Wegovy, suddenly they're all thin. OTOH, certain psych meds cause weight gain. On Ocean Blvd Lana sings about being on medication and contemplates whether pregnancy/motherhood is even an option. When Arcadia came out she was looking sexy and voluptuous; and Black Bathing Suit sings about nothing fitting her anymore after lockdown. It is just straightforward information that if you weight more (or less) than an identified range for your height, then you are more likely to develop certain diseases. And yes, most people today are overweight and we see a skyrocketing epidemic of diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, as well as mechanical problems like knee and hip joint failure. Being overweight has nothing to do with relative standards of beauty or a person’s desirability, it’s just about the objective tolerances of the human body. When we go above or below a certain weight range for our height, we increase our likelihood of various health problems.

She has always looked attractive. When she was thinner she was not underweight. With the extra pounds, the right clothes and hairstyle make her look feminine and elegant.

How the hell do u know she's happier and especially healthier. She would be classed as obese and that comes with massive health problems. im not really a lana fan, but tbh yall should just leave her alone. oh my god, aging is a normal thing. most people gain weight when they age, not just lana.

There are MANY physiological reasons for weight gain: heart issues, hormone problems, stress to name a few. ❤
