i think it's a playback.. sounds exactly as the recorded version. after seeing various live performances of del ray i came to conclusion that if it sounds too good ...it's probably playback. I do like her songs but her performances empathizes that she's not a good singer in live shows

@veksliarsky All singers use backing vocals for when they mess up and to not strain their vocal chords much. I understand what you're saying but sometimes Lana does surprise us all with her live vocals! You do realise that the voice and the tone you hear on her songs belong to this person, right?even if they are recorded in a studio, im sure not everyone could pull off that style.

It's very noticeable that she sings the verse much jazzier. During the chorus, as other people have already said, she uses a backing track, but that's nothing new. It sounds fuller that way.
