“I should’ve told you what you meant to me.” This struck me hard, seeing the man you care about going into a malicious path. The way they looked each other.. it seems painfully distant.

This series is a masterpiece. I don't think there is going to be something as good as this soon.

Aaaaahhh my heart hurts now... TT__TT I’m so grateful that in reality, Wangxian did live happily ever after together. They had to overcome so much (including one another) to finally be together!

I can never get enough of these guys the whole series is so addictive and sincerely speaking Aside lan zhan wai yen The other characters are amazing too and everyone did a great job Going slowing through each character's story teaches me alot about life Wei yen who lost his core and couldn't cultivate the unless the Demonic path. the love story of this drama is much better than boy-girl drama series I've been watched. It's a masterpiece.

One of my favorite C-dramas with one of my favorite songs by KP, oh this is setting me up for the feels. Instead of matching tattoos, they got matching scars. And the scene with the lyrics, "You had your tattoo removed" was of LWJ inspecting WWX's injury, but he was in MXY's body. Ooooof, my heart.

Somehow I think the TV series suggested that WWX and MXY also switched bodies - and that was why WWX had to wear a mask after being brought back.

@@llllll1897 I'm beginning to agree, as I don't think the drama shows a clear body swap. I believe MXY was somehow able to resurrect WWX's old body and soul. It doesn't explain where the scar by his collarbone went, and why the mole under his bottom lip disappeared, but those are small details. Him wearing a mask after resurrection and the fact that every one can recognize him without that mask is evident enough that he's in his old face, at least.

@@seekingcrimsonrain yeah. Plus in the first episode WWX said something like "At least ppl in the Mo Manor had not seen the adult MXY" (since he had left to study cultivation when he was a teen). I'm assuming that would mean he was worried they would notice the body swap. Also, WWX doesn't really have many shirtless scenes and the scar was kinda low-ish on his chest so it could still be there in theory... I didn't really notice the missing mole... more of a reason to rewatch it (again) haha

@@llllll1897 One implication with WWX resurrecting in his body is, well hope this isn't going to spoil the drama for anyone, but *SPOILER ALERT* .................................................................................................................................................. is his lack of golden core and also explains why he doesn't carry Suibian around anymore. I guess post-canon CQL, there is no possibility of LWJ helping WWX strengthen his core again. Sadness.

@@seekingcrimsonrain the book covered that part as well though (BOOK SPOILERS AHEAD) That the reason WWX never had a golden core in MXYs body was that MXY was a very weak cultivator and did not have the spiritual evergy to develop a core. I vaguely remember the book mentioned that some cultivators were not strong enough/skilled enough to develop cores.

Ok but this fits Wangxian so well and honestly my heart is weeping T-T "Summer after high school where we first met" Not after but they met in school at Cloud Recesses(unless u count them meeting as kids but that wasn't mentioned in CQL) "We got matching tattoos" Lan Zhan branded himself with the Wen Symbol just to remember Wei Ying's sacrifice for Mian Mian, to brand himself with a reminder of his soulmate "Used to steal your parent's liquor and climb to the roof" Their first real encounter was their fight on the roof over the two jars of Emperor's smile Wei Ying brought, and in Wei Ying's second life Lan Zhan was revealed to keep 8 jars of Emperor's smile as a reminder of him, and when he returned Lan Zhan let him drink as much as he wanted to make up for the 13 years.
