I have done some surveys from Eufy that certainly make it sound like they are going to add more bulb integrations with the cameras in the future. I am happy to see Tapo will talk to it's bulbs similar to Ring. Makes them a lot more appealing to look at.

The socket I use has a daylight sensor so the porch light isn't on all the time. It has two power plugs and that's what I plug my cameras in so they're on all the time. The light only comes on when it gets dark. Edit: The 2 pack lamp adapter is cool, but I would need one with two ports. I also use my lamp sockets for holiday lights, so I kind of need a regular plug lamp socket (like I have now). Thanks for introducing me to these other options.

Since the power adapters for Tapo or wyze are not polarized, I just soldered wires to the prongs and wired directly behind the lamp. White to white, black to black. Of course, it's heat shrinked insulated, and the porch lights are not in a wet location. I also used a shorter cable, stealthier install.

niiiiice the video i've been waiting for. i didnt realize the tapo smart bulb integrates with the c120 (over wifi?). since i've already got a c120 and it's $29, this should be a great cheap way to add a porch cam. could have come in handy last week when my package was reported delivered by usps but was nowhere to be found! i've had bad luck with both standalone smart bulbs and alexa routines. both seem pretty unreliable, i got rid of my smart bulbs and got a smart switch, it worked so much more reliably. anyway cool, more smart home projects to play with.

Hi LifeHackster I was watching your video Reviewing eufy Floodlight camera e340 I saw that you mounted it above your garage door This is where I want to mount my camera e340 when it gets here in your video it looks like to the right and left side of the camera there are eaves protruding from the garage do they cause a blind spot for your camera when it looks all the way to the right or the left.

How would you reliably waterproof the connection point with the generic adapter?

Yes, it should for their USBC ported ones. As to the older barrel plug, you need to find a USBA to barrel plug cable.

This eufy outdoor cam (E210 and E220) can be added to the HB3 and they can record 24/7 and is weatherproof.

Will the alexa app work even if you have already paired all the eufy cameras with google?

Great idea but I have wired security lights not a bulb. Do they make a driveway security lights with USB socket?

I haven't seen one. An option that you can do though is to replace your security lights with a floodlight cam if you want a camera with functional lights.

There are 90 degree USB A adapters and cables you could possible use with that larger light socket adapter.

If its a switched light fixture how is it powering it all the time? Are you leaving in the switched on power position and then just scheduling the light to come on when its sunset to dawn?

I think most Reolink cams are 12 volt powered.. they have the Lumus one but has a small barrel plug which might be hard to find a USB cable for it.

I can’t figure out what’s going on with my eufy indoor camera that I have mounted to the window. It says out of data.?? What data it runs on an SD card. It worked fine for a while and then all of a sudden everything changed. I don’t know if it updated and everything‘s in a different setting or what.everything needs to slow down a little bit. It’s too fast for my butt!😅 Also, I want to know does anybody know how to wire a ring motion sensor light, that’s the ring motion sensor with the two lights no camera,. It says it’s hardwired, but how do I hook it into a plug-in?

You created a second unnecessary Alexa automation. One can do the following: When motion is detected turn on tapo light, wait 1 minute, turn off tapo light.

He’s been telling you for years he doesn’t enunciate it due to it being a trigger word It’s the same premise of Siri with several other videos; if you are turned off by such a thing I recommend not being on the internet cause there’s just going to be more things that an intelligent person is going to humble you with
