    This was a deeply moving moment that developed one of the best characters in the game in a direction you never get to see her in, showing that she still feels the pain of the loss of not only her people and the Sunwell but also of her sisters, and is set to one of the the most beautiful songs in the entire Warcraft soundtrack. Invincible is an ugly reskin of the sparkle pony you can buy from the store that nobody would care about if it wasn't such a rare drop. This wins.

Although I appreciate Anime and Manga, it can`t be ignored that there are ginormous piles of shallow, clichéd stories with unrelevant, fan service, deus ex machina and even more clichéd characters in said industry and then there are the people advertising said kind of story as masterpieces, discussing their characters as if there were real and relatable. /rant off

    I predict Sylvanas is the one character in the whole World of Warcraft universe that started good, goes bad, then... actually gets redeemed. The one thing that drove her to insanity was being alone/isolated. So she made the Forsaken and has gone so bad in trying to insure their flourishment - I suspect it's just so she'll never lose her people to another invader again. Yet, if this song says nothing else... even on her throne, she's still so alone. Alleria, her sister, is going to be appearing either in WOD or the next expansion, and that's going to begin her road to redemption.

    She values the wellbeing of her people over her own happiness. Her own sister Vareesa is her enemy, and she has nobody whom she can be close to. Vareesa is closer to Jaina than she will ever be to Sylvanas. The sad thing is that if she meets Alleria, something bad will happen that hurts Sylvanas. Alleria will most likely see Sylvanas as a corrupted monster, and become her enemy before Sylvanas can explain herself, even if Vareesa doesn't meet Alleria first and fill her head with twisted notions of Sylvanas.

In life, it is said that she was very vain. She might get those charecteristics and feelings towards her people as "The Master Race of Azeroth" but, who knows. Just speculation.

No I strongly disagree with you all she needs to be happy is the respect and credit she deserves I must oblige that the Forsaken is that of forgotten love Sylvanas has forgotten what its like to love if only 1 can love her and brave her fury thats all she needs to be happy an relearn to love again as undead as she appears her soul longs for vengeance and something more in the world maybe frostmourne might give her the touch she needs toward claiming her destiny shes striving for I look foward to having her weild it and the crown destroying the foundation of the forsaken making a few powerful allies as she becomes the "Lich Queen" dont you agree?

    TheEtoimos Yeah but what you need to understand; Arthas was alive when he found the blade with Muradin in Warcraft III. He told the blade that he'd take any curse, He'd pay any ssacrifice for him to save his land: Sylvanas has already been taken by the blade many a times so she'd be alright handle it as she's technically dead atm. She just needs to recover her past souls as to what Arthas stole from her. As for finding a love: I don't think she will be able to love at this moment but I do hope she will find someone soon as she's already following Arthas' footsteps in using the Val'Kyr to raise the dead. And I don't mean forsaken dead. I mean anything she can get her hands on

I think its Alleria who are crazy mad at the orcs and Veressa hating the blood elves so much she, with her Silver Covenant and her BFF Jaina, went on the famous Dalaran Purge. Its kinda funny how Alliance got two out of the three Windrunner sisters on their side.

    It actually makes what the Forsaken did that much more crazy. The Forsaken did what was already done to them. Hypocrisy by the command of a young orc. EVEN BETTER, Slyvanas threatened undeath to Crowley's daughter, something she herself considers a massive curse, just to win a battle. ...Still, as a Forsaken player, gotta love Pre-Cata Slyvanas. I wanna see the blood elves shine again in huge events, I wanna see the taurens having major roles again, hell even the trolls feel a bit forgotten now to me, even if the last warchief was Voljin. Gotta say I really wait to see Sylvanas demise too, probably she and her forsaken will just wither away because of the last events with Genn, and then the game will probably end with either Thrall coming back or Baine taking her place and installing peace between the horde and the alliance.

    If one truly desires to call themselves a Warcraft fan they must understand the full lore and be able to look at it objectively. I can safely say any claim Sylvanas is exactly like the Lich King or even worse is entirely false, unfounded completely. The Lich King and his Scourge attempted to destroy all life and enslaved many thousands of undead. Sylvanas only targets threats to her people and gives the undead she has risen a choice to serve or not. The Lich King saw his followers as merely pawns in his game of conquest. Sylvanas shows through her words and actions she genuinely cares for her people, and has more than once taken to the battlefield and thus taken the same risks as her soldiers. Thus far all the Alliance ordered killed by Sylvanas were armed and dangerous members of their civilian and military classes, not defenseless everyday citizens. Even the so-called farmers ordered killed by the Forsaken were in fact military infiltrators disguised as farmers. She even honored her agreement with the commanding officer of the Alliance invaders attacking Lordaeron, releasing his daughter to him unharmed in exchange for his order to retreat. She could have easily had their little band killed, as they were cut off from the bulk of their forces, but let them go without harm. Sylvanas is by no means a villain. She is an anti-hero, one who does questionable things for the greater good. She is motivated to protect her people and ensure they keep their rightful lands. She honors them and their sacrifices and shows willingness to take the same risks as those who fight for her do. Sounds like a good leader to me.

  • @Dorimen17

    I thought i'd address your points since i must say that i disagree with you. "Sylvanas only targets threats to her people..." tell that to the farmers at the Hillsbrad Fields, now known as "The Sludge Fields", they were farmers not soldiers... Yes, Sylvanas gives those whom she raise a choice to serve or not. If they say no, however, they'll get promptly killed again as we see in the Forsaken starting zone. That is not a free choice and besides that, i seriously doubt Sylvanas doesn't use mind control of some kind on her soldiers. How else would she control the Abominations? And what about the death knight Koltira, you mean to tell me that Sylvanas just pulled him back to Undercity for a nice pep-talk? Sylvanas also sees a great number of her followers as pawn in her game, her game is simply to stay alive and avoid her punishment in death. Yes, she takes to the battlefield, as did Arthas, to ensure that their pawns do their job properly. Risk? Oh please. She has the Val'kyr backing her up every time she is on the battlefield, there's no risk for her involved with being present on the battlefield. "Thus far all Alliance ordered killed by Sylvanas were armed and dangerous members of their civilian and military classes, not defenseless everyday citizens." I point once again to the farmers at the Hillsbrad Fields. Were they armed? Yes, with pitchforks and shovels. Were they dangerous? Yes, to the weeds in the fields. And what about Southshore? Yes, it was a town with town guards and the occasional mercenary but most of them were harmless civilians. "...one who does questionable things for the greater good."... What greater good exactly? To turn all the lands of Lordaeron into a giant ghost town? To kill all life in the lands that are cherished by people still very much alive. "Rightful lands"?! By what right does she claim those lands? Lordaeron as a kingdom fell when Arthas killed his father, the line ended there. Sylvanas is a usurper, the rogue leader of a people who used to inhabit Lordaeron when it was still a proper kingdom and Sylvanas holds absolutely no more of a right to claim Lordaeron than anyone else with enough power does. The Forsaken holds as much of a claim on Lordaeron as the Gilneans do, as the farmers of Hillsbrad and citizins of Southshore did and as much as the Scarlet Crusade / Onslaught did /does. Again, i call BS on her willingness to take risks. Sylvanas is a brutal tyrant who pretends to care about her people, she decieves them and her enemies and win battles as much through cowardice and lies and she does through honest combat. Using plague bombs to terrorize the citizens of a capital city simply because she didn't dare attack the city head-on, yeah, sounds like just the kind of person i'd get behind... and stab with a knife.

    Ultimaton100 Going to that point about the Lich King attempting to destroy all life on Azeroth and enslaving undead. One Sylvanas doesn't use the scourge but she still uses the plague. Its so bad that Garrosh Hellscream, an orc that found it okay to use an enormous mana bomb on Theramore, told her not to use it because it was too deadly. Second, the choice that Sylvanas gives the new undead isn't really much of a choice. Its either become a forsaken or you're killed for quest experience and whose to say she doesn't reanimate the undead that have been killed and give them that choice again after they had basically chosen wrongly the first time?

    @Ultimaton100

    Both of you clearly thought out your points before posting them, and for that I commend you. However they are woefully inaccurate and I will address all of them as follows. No offense, as you both may be honestly mistaken. First of all, my statement that Sylvanas only targets threats to her people is fact. I have played Horde almost exclusively ever since I started the game years ago, and I have hands on experience with all the Forsaken quests both old and new. The farmers of Hillsbrad Fields may have been officially farmers yes, but it was well established years before Cata they were also part of an Alliance militia that attacked Forsaken military and civilians alike. If a Horde militia were attacking the Alliance in hit and run battles the same way, I would have no fault with the Alliance responding with force. That is to be expected, retaliation for unprovoked attacking makes perfect sense. Are you saying the Forsaken are completely unjust to defend themselves in any way at all? Also, the Sludge Fields was in fact intended to just be a prison and labor camp. The warden was insane and acted on his own without influence from anyone ranked higher, and even imprisoned a respected Apothecary who was going to report his atrocities. He even attempted to kill that man along with Horde players in the final quest there. That Apothecary stated the warden was guilty of too many crimes in the name of Sylvanas and sentenced him to death on her behalf. He died for his actions. This all leads to the conclusion his actions at the camp were never supported by Sylvanas. The claim that the risen undead who won't join the Forsaken are immediately murdered on sight is completely false. I myself witnessed firsthand like all the other Forsaken quests undead such as Lillian Voss who did not wish to join be allowed to leave and go their own way without harm. She has been observed on her own, still very much intact, since Cata when she was first risen in Tirisfal. A handful such as Marshal Redpath were killed again later, but only after attempting to attack the Forsaken. Simply another case of self-defense, not murder. As observed in both Tirisfal and Silverpine, the newly risen undead are not forced to serve. They are simply resigned to their fate and choose to serve, as observed firsthand in multiple quests. Furthermore, the Forsaken used Abominations for a long time, and speaking to them in the Undercity and through quests certainly doesn't make them come off as mindless pawns. They speak, albeit with their limited intelligence, much like an ogre. Not that bright, but certainly not a mindless slave. One Forsaken even flat out tells players no undead can be forced to join them, strongly implying no mind control is at work. A lot of fans like to paint Koltira as an innocent hero wrongfully brutalized, but the fact remains he did converse with and make deals with an enemy officer during war on a battlefield, which in any army means treason. To claim he should have been let off free is absurd. The claim that Sylvanas sees her followers as mere pawns is also completely false. Take it from someone who did the quests and paid close attention. One entire quest directly from her was to claim medallions from fallen Forsaken soldiers and at the end she says flat out their sacrifice will never be forgotten. Doesn't sound like a heartless puppet master to me. Furthermore, her words regarding raising new undead, including a declaration the Forsaken will not die out, tells me she wants her people to continue to grow and prosper. Another speech from her directly to players relates her beliefs that as the Forsaken were citizens of Lordaeron in life, in death it remains their rightful home, and declares she will never allow any enemy to take that right from them. Furthermore, her strongest motivation to keep going after Arthas' death was revealed to be her desire to ensure the survival of the Forsaken, as revealed in a short story written between Wrath and Cata. Any leader who takes to the battlefield will certainly have some form of protection, as they are important targets to the enemy. For Sylvanas that is her Val'kyr and her dark rangers. Just because she is powerful and has guards doesn't mean the enemy soldiers and vehicles are nothing to her. If King Varian were to head into the heart of a warzone, he would certainly have guards too, don't you think? Most supreme leaders remain safe behind walls or in their throne room. Sylvanas takes to the battlefield herself and she deserves respect for that. I once again point out the fact that the Hillsbrad farmers were part of an armed militia which had already attacked and killed Forsaken without provocation, and Southshore was not as innocent as you are making it out to be. It was a military stating ground and supply port, used by the Alliance for many years for those purposes. The greater good behind Sylvanas' actions and those of the Forsaken themselves is simply survival, a basic cause that has always been something fought for many times over before the Forsaken ever existed. The claims that she is seeking the destruction of all life in Lordaeron are rendered false easily, as seen by the fact The Argent Crusade, Wildhammer Clan, Revantusk Tribe, and even pirates in one location are all still very much alive throughout the Lordaeron sub-continent without a single Forsaken ever seeking to harm them. The Kingdoms of Stormwind and Gilneas have no claims to Lordaeron, any suggestion they do is false. Lordaeron was an independent kingdom outside their rule within the Alliance. No Stormwinder or Gilnean ever held any rights to a single piece of land in Lordaeron. However, the Forsaken, who were citizens of Lordaeron in life, do. The Scarlet organizations were defeated and destroyed not simply because they held no rightful claims to Lordaeron, they were attacking all not just like them. Forsaken, other Horde, Argents, and even Alliance. They were destroyed because they were evil zealots who hid behind a mask of good-doing and made enemies out of everyone. The humans in Hillsbrad Foothills were defeated for a similar reason, they were declared enemies of the Forsaken attacking them. War usually means one side loses. I see no fault with the Forsaken using the Blight. Contrary to what you are saying, in Gilneas it was deployed against armed soldiers and resistance fighters, not defenseless civilians. The Forsaken had massive manpower as they hold the largest Horde army outside Orgrimmar. They simply used the Blight to preserve the numbers that would have been lost in a direct assault, a smart move on their part. At Southshore it was a similar situation. Furthermore, there are no set rules of war on Azeroth like in real life, so there are no legal matters at play here. Furthermore, Garrosh's disdain for use of the Blight came years before he became the villain he did in MoP, so to suggest he was a tyrant against the Blight is wrong. In addition, I once again remind you that any claim undead unwilling to join the Forsaken are immediately killed is false. As I said, I was there, did the quests many times over, nothing of the sort ever took place. In the end, Sylvanas is not a tyrant, nor is she a liar, a coward, or anything of the sort. She also never ordered any city full of civilians to be hit with the Blight. Again, was there, nothing of the sort happened. She is a dedicated leader who believes in the rights of and the preservation of her people. Her tactics are as I stated not always the morally righteous, but her motives and beliefs themselves are pure. Its easy for many people to make assumptions and mistake Sylvanas and the Forsaken as an entirely "evil just for being evil" faction because they are undead. In the vast majority of franchises undead are always portrayed as the bad guys. It goes on par with the natural fear of death. Even the Scourge in Warcraft are a faction of evil mindless undead. However, the Lore behind Sylvanas and the Forsaken reveals a different story for them. Tragic victims of evil who broke free from their chains and now seek to claim their rightful place in a world that hates and fears them simply for being cursed through no fault of their own. Its a unique take on undead I admit, but really a beautiful thing if you understand it in full. I can draw parallels with their struggle to the Arakkoa Outcasts in WoD, who are also being targeted for extinction simply for being cursed through no fault of their own by those who see themselves as superior. Its part of the reason I like them too. Both of you just come across as overzealous Alliance fans unwilling to think about the perspective of the other side or think objectively. I do however thank you, Dr. Barber for at least being more polite. I can give a list of controversial and even arguably evil tactics used by the Alliance both years ago and recently, and yet I can still understand the motivations behind them even if they upset me. One of the great things about Warcraft is there is no clear side of right and wrong all the time, like some child's cartoon. More realistic and better at grabbing attention of the fans.

    Ultimaton100 First of all, if i came off as rude or blunt in my statements, i'll apologies for that but i still hold on to most of my arguments and i'll try to make it clear why i do this. However, it was never intended to be rude or insulting against you, only against Sylvanas. Second, i've played the game for a very long time and through all that i've played both Alliance and Horde so i may be biased in regards to the Forsaken and their fight against the Alliance but that doesn't mean that i have no idea of what goes on in the heads of the Forsaken. In regards to the Hillsbrad farmers, the same argument that the Forsaken are only defending themselves could also be said for the farmers, do you expect them to just sit idle and wait for the Forsaken to come bombard their fields with Blight? As for them being with the Alliance, i have no doubt that they were friendly towards the Alliance but apart from the Chillwind camp in the western plaguelands, the Alliance's only military operations in the Lordaeron is the Refuge point in Arathi, the Wildhammer, who only recently joined the Alliance officially, and the Stormpike in Alterac Valley. These are actual military settlements and if the Alliance did support those farmers in their fight, then it was little more than moral support. Everyone is justified to defend themselves if they are the ones who win and get to tell the story. The farmers were the ones defending their homes and families from the Forsaken war machine. The fact that the Sludge Fields were supposed to be a labor camp is an improvement in the same way as saying a prison is better than a german internment camp, that may be very true but it's still a horrible thing to do. I haven't seen the Alliance use Horde prisoners for manual labor since the days after the Second War and given the reputation that Forsaken have and what they do to their prisoners, i can't say that i blame the farmers for resisting being taken prisoners. If you doubt what i say about the treatment of Forsaken prisoners, check out the Apothecary district in Undercity, in the far back you'll find Forsaken apothecaries experimenting on human and dwarven prisoners. There're multiple examples of this throughout the expansions of WoW. This, to me, means that either Sylvanas is ok with prisoners being experimented on as long as they don't plan to revolt against her or the dark lady has absolutely no idea what goes on in her own city. Lillian Voss was of use to the Forsaken, her hatred against the Scarlet Crusade was very convenient. I also believe that she died in Scholomance but that's besides the matter. The Forsaken that are risen in Tirisfall are unique in that most of them have been dead for some time. The ones that are risen in the Western Plaguelands, in Silverpine and elsewhere, were former Alliance troops or members of what you call the Alliance militia, why in gods name would a newly risen Alliance soldier all of a sudden think "Huh, well i guess i fight for the Forsaken now, even though they just killed me and cursed me with undeath, i'll now kill those who i, a minute ago, called allies and friends.". No soldier changes loyalty that quickly and without reason. As for the abominations. Through the process of making an abomination, those who assemble it will have ample opportunities to fiddle with it's brain and make it obedient, the fact that the Forsaken use abominations is itself a crime, considering what they are. What Forsaken tell you about their methods is largely irrelevant, of course they're going to justify themselves. As for Koltira. I didn't claim he should just be let off but being dragged in chains to the Undercity with his leader saying that the Lich King failed in making these death knights and that the she will make sure he is brought on the right path sounds awfully horrible to me. There are two theories as to what Sylvanas' motivations are. Well, i'm sure there are more but the two i can think of at this point is that she seeks to make sure she and her people prosper, this does not, however, justify her attacks on Gilneas and the other people who still inhabit Lordaeron. But if that is the case then it'll still not change the fact that she is a ruthlessly cold leader to anyone other than her people. The second theory is that her primary concern is her own life, if you call it that. After the death of Arthas, Sylvanas' commits suicide and goes to hell, there she sees what punishment awaits her in death and she sees that Arthas is there to share in her torment. She is brought back by the Val'kyr and from that point on dedicates everything to make sure she does not die, that includes making sure her people are strong and powerful so that few other powers in the world can threaten her. This is the one i subscribe to. Why? Because if there's one thing Sylvanas would not want, it is to spend an eternity with Arthas. If Varian takes to the fields of battle, he'll bring the Stormwind royal guards, yes. When Garrosh took to the battlefield, he brought the Kor'kron. It is indeed common for leaders to bring protection but the Val'kyr are not soldiers, they are Sylvanas' guarantee that she does not die. The same way that the players in WoW don't have to worry about dying, they'll just resurrect themselves. As long as Sylvanas has her Val'kyr, she being on the battlefield is about as risky as a WoW players being on the battlefield, for that i hold little respect. Without provocation? The gilneans were attacked without provocation and the farmers defended their homes and themselves. If the Forsaken were so gracious and Sylvanas such a great leader, why not then try to talk to the farmers and guarantee them that the Forsaken are not like the Scourge? Instead, the Forsaken attack the kingdom of Gilneas, unprovoked and uses the farmers fighting for their lives as justification for bombarding Southshore. Southshore was not a military settlement, not anything that looks like it. It didn't have walls, it had only tradeships come into it's harbor, it didn't even have a barrack for training troops. You want to cut off Alliance supplies in the region? Fine, march up to the city with big weapons and an army of undead, take the soldiers who defend the town prisoner and send the civilians home and show the world you're merciful and not monsters. Instead, the Forsaken bombard the city with plague and blight, turning anything and everything that lived there into green slime on the ground. Okay, let's look at what it takes to achieve basic survival. Usually this means having access to water, food, shelter and in a war-torn world like Azeroth, having a military or some other form of defense also helps you survive. The Forsaken only needs 2 of these 4 things, which sets them apart from any other race in regards to survival. The Forsaken don't need water or food, thus having a healthy land with nature and clean water is irrelevant and in many forms it's an obstacle, why should the Forsaken take time to care of the nature of the land they inhabit? They might as well let the nature waste away, which they seem to have done up until this point. The Raventusk are allied to the Horde, therefore, no touchy. The Wildhammer hold a fortified position within the mountains of the Hinterlands but the Forsaken have already attacked the dwarven settlement in Hillsbrad and turned that garrison into a ghost town, they'd do the same to the rest of the Wildhammer if it was that simple to attack them. The pirates are in lands not held by the Forsaken, Arathi Highlands. Same goes for the Argent Crusade but the Forsaken have more than once expressed disdain for the healing of the West and East plaguelands and i'm sure attacking the Argent Crusade is on the Forsaken agenda. However the Crusade holds the Ashbringer for now, you know, weapon that can give one man the power to destroy armies of undead. Stormwind has no claim on Lordaeron, no. Gilneas hasn't got a claim on Lordaeron either. But do you know who does have a claim? The people who fled Lordaeron and now fight for Alliance and/or the Argent Crusade. A major part of troops in the Alliance are survivors of Lordaeron, that gives the Alliance and the kingdom of Stormwind a right to attempt to reclaim the kingdom of Lordaeron for these people. However, this entire talk about claims and rights is irrelevant, as you said, there are no rules in war other than those you impose upon yourself. The Forsaken have no claim on Gilneas, but that doesn't seem to bother them. The use of the blight is an act of cowardice, you're right that there are no rules in war in Azeroth but that doesn't mean that you can't condemn the use of of weapons of cowardice to win wars. I don't think you understand what happened in Gilneas. The Forsaken attacked an independent and peaceful kingdom and started killing both civilians and soldiers alike. When the Gilneans boarded themselves up inside their capital, rather than taking the fight to the militia and armed citizenry and show the they indeed have got some honor, the Forsaken bombards the city with blight and plague, making the city uninhabitable for both living and undead alike. Just because a move is smart does not mean that it's excusable. The use of blight on Gilneas was intented to preserve numbers and prevent loses in a direct assault, the same goes for Garrosh' use of dropping a manabomb on Theramore, both actions are horrible and deserves punishment. Comparing Southshore to Gilneas to justify the use of blight is ridiculous, Southshore had no means of defense other than it's townguards, the conflict there could have been resolved without armed combat but instead the Forsaken turned it into a massacre. My intent with bringing Garrosh into this was simply as a means of saying that when Garrosh says you've gone too far, then you know you have gone way, way too far. Sylvanas' true intentions will not be revealed for a while i imagine but i still hold on to my believes that she is a coward and that she, in the best case scenario, cares only for her own people not even the nature of the land they posses, and in the worst case she cares for none but herself. Gilneas and Southshore were both full of civilians. The Gilneas civilians had taken up arms to defend their city but what'd you expect? Would you simply have turned over your home, your family and yourself? Southshore was purely a civilian target, regardless of it's potential military use, it was not a military settlement. The people defending it were townguards with the crest of Lordaeron on their chest, not the golden lion of the Alliance. Okay, now for the Forsaken as a faction. As i stated i'm not simply an Alliance fan-boy that rambles about things without looking into them. I've followed the story of Lordaeron, the Scourge and the Forsaken from start to finish. No, i do not believe the Forsaken are evil simply because they're undead. I love their story and lore and indeed it is a beautiful idea to think that these people who have gone through so much suffering, being forced to watch their kingdom be burned down and destroyed, should one day rise to defeat their former masters and bring an end to the treacherous prince. It is a unique story and i love it and up until recently, my support was with the Forsaken all the way, Lordaeron is still my favorite kingdom and i certainly do not want Varian to be crowned king of Lordaeron nor do i want it to join the Alliance. However, with all that said, my dislike for the Forsaken and especially their queen comes in after the death of Arthas and i have to judge the races based on what they're doing now regardless of what has happened to them in the past. This is the only way i can attempt to not be inflicted by biased opinions. Quite frankly, i take it as an insult that i do not try and see things from a different perspective, that is something i always try to, it is very important to me and i'll never make up my mind about something, certainly not as much as i have this subject without careful thinking and consideration. Now, i feel terrible for the Forsaken, however, in my opinion, just because they are victims of a curse, does not justify them giving this curse unto others, even if that is their only means of survival. If i was inflicted by a disease and the only way i could survive was to spread this disease unto others, would i do it? No, absolutely not. That is why i judge the Forsaken as dishonorable and selfish in their conquests and use of Val'kyr. The Forsaken were indeed seen as monsters simply because they were undead when they first broke free from the Lich King and that viewpoint was not justified for anyone and i'll happily condemn the Alliance any day for having such a foolish viewpoint. However, saying the whole world hates them simply for being undead today, is simply false. They have "fulfilled their own prophecy" so to speak. They are no longer judged and hated for looking like the Scourge but because they act like the Scourge. Their intentions may be different but nothing could justify their actions. If the Forsaken wanted to be acknowledged and respected then how about this: Work on a cure for the curse, use the relentless energy and knowledge of the Forsaken to try and figure out a way to end the torment rather than just trying to buy time by killing and denying the living the peace of death, just as Arthas did to them. And rather than proving to the world that the Forsaken are just as cowardly as Arthas and the Scourge by using plague to fight their wars for them, the Forsaken could fight with honor and dignity, proving their enemies wrong in judging them so wrongly or the Forsaken could simply not fight at all. I don't mean surrender and let the Alliance take Lordaeron, i mean engage in diplomacy, present their issues to the other races both Alliance and Horde rather then just going solo and solving issues the way that best suit the Forsaken. The Forsaken have access to the Cenarion Circle and Argent Crusade who have proved that the curse of undeath can be lifted from wildlife and plants, why should it then not be possible for former humans and elves? I pitied the Forsaken for having the whole world be against them, until they themselves gave the world a reason to be. I pitied the Forsaken for being cursed with something as terrible as undeath and having seen what they have, until they did the same unto others and acted like those monsters they hate so direly. The fact of the matter is that a cure for the curse of undead if practically within a hands of reach and yet the Forsaken refuse to reach out. That i cannot accept.

    Clearly you are more versed in the Lore than I first surmised, though it wasn't clear to see at first. Then and now, you really don't come off as someone looking at both sides. Sorry if I offended you, but you really don't. While I am a Horde player for life, I have done a few of the Alliance starter quests, including Gilneas. Furthermore my own Lore research verifies these points. The Abomination process does severely limit the intelligence the being will possess upon completion, but any claim it amounts to mind control is pure speculation at best. Furthermore, the original Forsaken Abominations were in fact liberated Scourge like the rest of them, Gordo being a good example. Giving these fellow undead a purpose within their ranks isn't a crime in my eyes. In addition, Lillian Voss is still "alive" in WoD, as seen by all players who build a tavern in their garrison. Yes the Forsaken have experimented on living prisoners in the past, however it never went so far as to full mutant-like transformations seen under the mad warden at the Sludge Fields. My clarification of it being a prison and labor camp intentionally was to point out it was never built for what the warden did. The only prisoner ever observed being killed in a direct and legal Forsaken experiment was a captive Scarlet Crusader. Not exactly just I admit, but keep in mind of what the Scarlets did to their prisoners. Horrific torture and executions which were sure to stir up ill-feelings in their enemies. First of all, the invasion of Gilneas wasn't even Sylvanas' idea. She did so under direct orders from Garrosh. In addition, Gilneas City was already evacuated by the time the Forsaken arrived because of the worgen curse taking hold in the land. When armed Gilnean resistance fighters, not simple civilians as you claim, stormed the city to take it back from the Forsaken, it was then they used the Blight. It wasn't a tactic to destroy holed up civilians, it was to defeat armed opposition. You are entitled to your own theory about Sylvanas, but as I pointed out, canon sources regarding the Lore strongly suggest otherwise, and quite frankly I cannot see how anyone could call Sylvanas selfish if they aren't biased. Based on in-game sources it is strongly implied the humans of Hillsbrad Fields attacked the Forsaken first. They did go out in an armed militia and attack Forsaken and other Horde civilian and military targets as also shown in-game. What of the Forsaken civilians? They too feel sadness for the loss of loved ones, as seen in-game even. The militia may not have been military, but they were still armed and organized. Southshore was not a civilian target, it can never be accurately claimed that way. This is direct from Blizzard. Southshore ever since the Second War was used as a military staging ground and supply port. Navy transport ships ferried soldiers to and from its docks for years. Its town guards were Alliance soldiers and it had ranked officers stationed in the town. It did have a strong civilian population, but that didn't take away its military importance to the Alliance. Try to see the Forsaken perspective. A clear and present drop off point for the military of their greatest enemy since the Scourge, directly at the edge of their heartland. Its like a dagger pointed at the throat. Believe it or not, the bombing of Theramore is another tactic I fully supported. Just like fans who either deny or mistake the truth regarding the use of the Blight, the same goes for the mana bomb. Just like with the Blight, that bomb was never deployed against a civilian target and only hit enemy armed forces. The preservation of standing forces for future battles is not cowardice, it is a smart strategy. One of the keys to winning any war is to weaken your enemy while remaining strong yourself. You don't have to agree with a tactic, but to make it out to be something it isn't simply is not accurate. Is it controversial? Yes. It is without reason? No. The Forsaken fight for survival, their struggle to maintain their rightful land and keep their rights as a people can always be justified. When you claim they act just like the Scourge it really does come across as you not understanding what is going on here. I cannot think of a single battle fought by the Forsaken, outside of the first initial invasion of Gilneas, that was not completely within their rights to do. While there may be no rules of war itself, rules of right to land are still in play here. The Forsaken and Alliance alike use controversial methods. The Alliance invasions of Lordaeron throughout Cata were filled with tactics that can be argued as morally wrong, such as disregarding civilian life, using real farmers on their side as shields, and others.

    I still can't understand why she sings "sindorei" if this was suppose to be a song she knew when she was alive, I pretty sure they didn't call themselves sindorei until after arthas destroyed silvermoon. I do remember reading in the arthas novel, that the song she remembered singing when she was younger with her sisters and brother was this song, but it said Queldorei instead of sindorei , which to me makes more sense... well I am guessing this is suppose to show she cares for the high elves that call themselves blood elves now.

    Well no because it was Kael that changed them to being called sindorei, the are still queldorei too, the ones that didn't follow kael. so i am guessing she changed it to sindorei after she realized most of her people have been called that after she died.

    I hate Sylvanas, not because she always whines and cries about her plight. But because she betrayed her King and almost killed him. She is no better than Arthas whom she sought to slay, on Arthas' fall was losing himself to a far more devious presence, a dwindling existence inside Ner'zhul.
