I was born and raised in Pierce and bought my first new car from Ray in 1963. It was a 64 Impala, 327-300, 4-speed, positrac. Sweet! I've been waiting to see this sale for 50 years. I can remember the inside of that building and setting in Ray's office ordering my '64. Then waiting for the transport to unload it. I finally picked it up on a Saturday afternoon. I'm 70 now but feel like 19. Funny how cars do that to you . . . .

When we first were there. We understood the Cameo had 5 miles, but when moving and actually in for the first time- on the shot- it was 1 mile- that's something to be excited about. I bet it's the only one in the world!

Wow! This is truly incredible! This is definitely worthy of a Discovery Channel type of documentary, I'd say. I'm sure people will want to know the history behind all this and how much the vehicle end up selling for! A true time capsule of American automotive classics! You can read the story of this family on my website or other sites. It's pretty amazing and something to be excited about. This dealership has been an Urban Legend in the Midwest for many years. So now we are actually opening a Time Capsule of history. Why they just the doors? They did and now here we are. There is more info on the website with pictures and preliminary inventory. For Car People, this is what dreams are made of.

Back when this dealer was open, it was business and the cars were not thought as collectors- just inventory. So Car covers were not thought of. Actually, no one in that time frame had them.

For those who don't know Northeastern Nebraska, Pierce is near the city of Norfolk. Kids used to cruise Norfolk Avenue on the weekends and it was literally a scene from American graffiti. I'm sure many cars came from this dealership. I never knew about this dealership until now, believe it or not. I grew up in Randolph, 20 miles away and I always bought my cars 2nd hand from farmers.

There are Approx., 500 vehicles Approx, 50 with 11 miles or less on MSO. Many are in great condition like those in the video, down to project parts cars. WE will be adding more videos and pictures.

Wow this is amazing. I would love to be there at the auction just to watch because know those bids will go crazy high.

They said there are a lot of parts in the trunks, of course there are as they were delivered to the dealer with the wheel covers and extra add on parts ordered. Make sure you keep the trunks with the parts they came with. Spare tires, jacks, side mirrors, sometimes interior mirrors, wheel covers or hubcaps, not to mention if it was to have tri carbs they were put in the trunk to be installed by the dealer. A lot are not extra parts they belong to the car as new.

This is truely amazing and many of these vehicles are great condition. I wouldn't touch them- just get running! Preview is Friday 27th- only.Auction 28-29 2013. NO EARLY PREVIEW-sorry.

Living in the rust belt of the Northeast this stuff is amazing. Some are saying $20K to go through them? I suppose if you are rich and just have someone else do the work. This stuff is the dream of the regular Joe for an easy resto. Sure the mechanicals should be rebuilt, gaskets replaced, etc... People complaining must be the ones who have the cars they don't even wax. Just restored by someone else and rolled off a trailer at car shows. ha ha

Great inventory for a period movie, someone in the business, especially a prop master should be looking into this auction.

As survivor cars- you DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING- leave alone as they were out of the factory- just get running- wash- and leave alone- otherwise you can taint the authenticity. Yvette

I completely agree with you! That's what I would do as well, just get them running. Since the auction is right at the start of the school year, it's going to be a miracle if I can make it all the way out there from Maine but I can still bid online. I know you don't have all the details worked out yet but would a car be able to stay on the property for a week or two until shipping arrangements can be made? I'm interested in one of the low mileage 65 Impalas but those may be stored outside?
