Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica review - 632bhp V10 supercar driven on road and track

Italian supercar-maker Lamborghini is building towards a future of electrified supercars, but not before it's bidden farewell to its more traditional combustion-engined cars with all the usual flourish and drama.
Enter, then, the Huracan Tecnica: an all-new derivative of the firm's smaller mid-engined model which combines elements of both the outrageous Huracan STO and the regular Huracan Evo, and merges them into suitably bombastic but supposedly daily-usable sports car package.
The Huracan Tecnica takes the howling, atmospheric 632bhp V10 engine of the top-of-the-line STO model, and also that car's rear-wheel drive- and four-wheel-steered chassis; but it mixes them with new and slightly less aggressive styling than the STO has, and with slightly less hardcore suspension tuning and tyre specification also. The result, claims Sant'Agata, is a supercar that can still really amaze on the circuit, but can also be enjoyed in a variety of road driving scenarios, and can also adapt itself to suit its driver's particular tastes and requirements better than any Huracan before it.

Probably the first time I've ever stopped watching a video on a Lamborghini early: I didn't think it possible that a video on a Lamborghini could be boring.
The colour of this car on track is breathtaking!! Then there’s that V10 soundtrack!! Stunning machine🔥🔥🔥
This is suppose to be exciting to watch but I’m falling asleep listening to the this guy.
This design on this and the aventador was really way ahead of its time. It will probably still look good many years from now

That Blue is the best ever seen
That V10 engine is EPIC. Best bits of both STO and EVO RWD makes the Tecnica the best Huracan and best driving lambo ever. With only a years production to bridge the gap to the new hybrid model it will also be the rarest Huracan edition, even less than the STO. GUARANTEED FUTURE CLASSIC that will be sort after as the last NA V10 lambo in small numbers. Will be Lambos equivalent to the Ferrari 458 Speciale

Too many Huracan models. I’m just confused. Drove the Performante a while back and it was incredible.

Well it's easy... Gen 1 or MK1 Huracans were: LP610-4, LP580-2, Performante LP640-4 (Track focused) Gen 2 or MK2 Huracans are: EVO (640hp, AWD), EVO RWD (620hp), STO (640hp, RWD, Track focused), Tecnica (640hp, RWD)

I feel like I just real a Lamborghini brochure. Also, having someone who can really push the car on track would probably provide better feedback. I think the brake is "grabby" for harder, later braking.
Driving the car on the road with a rollcage and on the track without seems a bit back to front.

I’m new to Lamborghini and have the EVO rwd. If the Technica had offered configurable suspension settings allowing you to choose.. I’d have considered ordering one.. shame.. the EVO rwd will just have to do.. it’s epic by the way! First world problems..

Nice, but I still prefer the Evo RWD. It’s the purer both mechanically and stylistically…for my taste anyway 🤷♂️

Ah i'm sure there's an audi that the V10 could slide into.....surely though they could drop it litres wise and twin turbo the V10 to make up for lost power 🤷🏿♂️.... Maybe even ditch the V10, ditch the V8 idea and use a 5 cylinder they used to use in the TT? They sound almost as awsome as a V10 and with some fettling can produce massive power too.

The audi r8 has a v10.... so there is one other vehicle that still uses the v10 in the VAG group

And how much better do you think you’d be, Eryk, on a track you don’t know, in a car you’ve barely driven, and given about five laps to familiarise, assess and present all at the same time? And could you then write a good 1600w drive feature on it by 9am the following day? Asking for a friend, obvs.

@@mattsaunders2758 haha! Well said! Even driving different types of boring/low end cars take getting used to (different steering weights, pedal weights and spacing, handling, braking etc) Going straight into a supercar and driving full on is borderline suicidal.

The track car is blue but from the cockpit you can see its got green side view mirrors... this video is a bunch of lying edits
According to Babvvo and Tebbvo laws, sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime!
You Need to learn how to drive the cars better. Driving slow and you still can’t even hold your lane .

Why are Autocar's reviewers so stilted and wooden? There's no flow and passion.
With v10 this car should have at least 720hp for me to consider buying it over 765lt,f8...But with Lamborghinis tractor like stroke of engines its not possible.

That would be 140hp per litre, more than any other production naturally aspirated vehicle. But I also mislike Lambos 5.2 v10. I sounds way too deep, like a Audi 5 cylinder. The 5.0 in the first gen gallardo actually sounded like a v10

@@PaganiZondaF650hp i igree i like higher pitch sound like carrera gt,lfa...Problem with this engines is Audis architecture with stroke over 92mm!Velocity of pistons is crazy high at 8500rmps.With stroke of 70-75mm 10000 rpms would be easly achievable bcs displacement per cylinder is only 500cc

Should just be glad it doesn't look hideous compared to some of Lamborghini's other more garish offerings.
