gearbox is actually what holds this car back the most, whle it may physically shift close to the speed of a dual clutch, it's so violent that it shifts the entire weight of a car that is very heavy, which can upset it mid-corner and actually does ruin the acceleration arc by a considerable degree, it's partially why this car is slower than the huracan in a straight line.

That driver extracted everything that car had to offer, a true representation of the capabilities of the design. Not quite as smooth as some of the other top laps but if you're not on the raged edge you're not racing, it also shows the car inspired enough confidence in the driver where he felt comfortable taking it to the limit. To me it seemed that some of the other top cars weren't pushed to there max which makes me think they must get increasingly unstable and unpredictable the closer you get to the limit so the drivers settle for 9/10ths

or the other cars are just far more predicable at the limit and better balanced, so that the drivers don't end up needed to fight the car or catch unexpected slides when driving at the limit. This car looked like a handful to drive

G The ownership of Audi VW group has improved Lamborghini so much, but without the Gallardo the V10 FSI R8 would more than likely not of come about. Lamborghini have played a big role in bringing Audi into the Supercar game. But I don’t look at Lamborghini as being owned by somebody because that takes the significance of the brand away

even though porsche have beaten this car in the nurburgring don't forget that the porsche gt3 rs has turbos while the Aventador svj is only naturaly aspirated which means this is still the fastest car ever lapped in the nurburgring without turbos just pure power

@@maurizioarrivabene8182 I think the way this car drives (responds to bumps in corners at speed, over/understeer predictability etc) it may be difficult to get a fast and perfectly smooth looking lap. Maybe VAG wanted to leave scope for Porsche and Manthey Racing to come back at it, rather than having the Lamborghini practice a huge amount. Then again large amounts of single manufacturer practice may not be possible at the Nordschleife due to use of the circuit.

3:21 When that v12 screamed from 5th to 6th gear I felt that... Edit: Lamborghini did a great job with the SVJ setting a new record, *BUT* ... there was parts in the track where the driver missed a gear or over revved which could be fixed for a faster time... I'd say without the missed gears or over revs he could maybe make up about 0.8 seconds of time

Every time I see one of these videos I think, guys 40 years ago were going this fast around THIS circuit- in aluminum, gas-filled, bombs on wheels. I’m in no way trying to diminish the skill and bravery of these modern record breakers. It just reaffirms the single mindedness on victory that those guys had. Outstanding.

Im so proud of Lamborghini. So many supercars out there coming out the wood work with wedge shape and flare. I love how they come out swinging. I honestly didnt like how Lamborghini were silent for so many years everybody with their hybrids,etc. Im glad they are out now. Lambo IS the supercar you want to own. Phenomenal job!

The car rotatates around the corners beautifully. Great driving .

amarjit singh the koenigsegg one:1 could have gone faster at spa, but spa has noise restrictions meaning koenigsegg would have to restrict the car to make it quieter

It’s so nice to see this car drivin for what it’s built for. Versus the other videos were all they do is sit in parking lots and rev them or stand next to the car for pictures or the worst is where they constantly do burn outs all day with them. This is what this car is built for.

INCREDIBLE!!! And what a way to stay on top!!!
