I could listen to these guys for hours ...
I was 14 years old in 2004 and I already heard everything by Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax and other metal bands. I saw the music video for "Ruin" and holy fucking shit, they changed the metal world! I've been HOOKED to them ever since! I met Chris Adler before they opened for Metallica in 2008, then I met Randy Blythe in 2009 when they were headlining for the Wrath album! I also have a HUGE custom made painting of Mark Morton between my guitars on the wall in my living room! I fucking LOVE Lamb of God! Their music saved me as a teenager!
Randy's interview voice is sick And It's crazy to see footage of Randy drinking after all these years. If that man can go as hard as he has the last several years sober, on tour with the influences he dealt with, can overcome, I'd like to think I could as well.

I work in finance, make a good living, and love metal. "rich or poor, people love metal".

F***ing love this band! I was 16 years old in when i start to listen to them, in 2004, and they actually continue better and better. Great interview. More please. \m/ Sorry my English.
I really love Sams interviews because his questions are so good. I think it's really cool how he sort of blends in his Anthropology background, and as a anthropology student myself i find it inspiering to see that the education can come in handy in way more places than you can imagine. Keep up the good work!

Lamb of god is one of the greatest bands of all time. Must see before you die.
The realest dudes in music . I feel like I know them and that’s what has been so appealing about them and the music is incredible
I would love to see the full interviews from Terry Butler, Scott Burns, David Vincent, Biff Byford, King Diamond, Chuck Billy, Bobby Blitz, and Alex Webster.
"She's not an artist. She's a hack." Quote of the day thus far lmao. He shat all over Brit and kept the convo casually going. I love it.
" I think people like metal wheather their rich or poor" great words
I met Randy at Ozzfest 2004. Nicest guy ever who took the time to relate to some random kids he never met and who’ll he’ll probably never see again. Horns up brother.
I hope you're able to put all your old films on BangerTV as well as the uncut stuff. Love it!

The fact that this is almost 20 years old is crazy. This literally looks like an interview from 2014.
lamb of god is one of the greatest band. all the band mates are the best in what they do. \m/ long live
Randy’s vocals are insane asf
Love this band wholeheartedly, really cool looking back on this damn near 14 years ago! Insane how the time flies and now look where they are! The top of the metal game! Love them and love you guys for this interview.
Randy scares the shit out of me, its like hes about to bite the closest person to him like some kind of mad dog.
Dude i can't believe that's Randy , he looks so...different , is incredible , looks like a totally different person

Good interview
When you hear Mark riffing and soloing people to death, you would not expect that he is so calm and softspoken. He sounds really nice. Randy as well, but he is rather raspy of course ;P
The lyrics to some of As the Palaces burn are so inspiring to me, especially the title track, boot scraper and Vigil. They all touch on working class/ lower class rage that to me is so at home in metal music and I wish I heard more class conscious songs like this. Even if that wasn't the intention behind them (admittedly bootscraper seems to be however), but it fits so well with in the aggression and heaviness of metal music. I really wish we heard it more often. Hearing Randy's demon-like screaming when saying "Turn and bite" or "Sickness to you my master" are so inspiring to me as a working class person completely pissed off at how much the working class has bee crushed all over the world.
It’s crazy to think when Mark mentions “this record coming out” refers to the infamous “Ashes of the Wake.”
PLEASE, get Randy and make a react video. I would love to see him commenting on himself in this.
So THAT'S what Mark's face looks like!
06:13 "Britney Spears has NOTHING to say, She's NOT and artist, She is a HACK!"

South?? Do you know how far I had to drive north before I even got to Virginia!
Saw these guys live when they toured with Slayer. I was right in the front, leaning on the gate. The only person closer than me to the stage was a security guard. Randy made eye contact with me and threw up the devil horns. Later that night I caught one of Gary Holt's guitar picks. It was truly a magical night
damn awsome
gooddaaang....this was about 1-2 years after they had JUST gotten signed to EPIC...and these dudes were getting AS THE PALACES BURN going....just off the damn hook.

We as metal heads listen this form of music that gets us to and from work. Gets us to sleep. Awakens us. Cranks us on while we clean our teeth. When we want to drink by ourselves we watch a Slayer concert with our headphones, tomato, camenbert cheese, tomato, crackers, 17.5 port. We want to be left alone. That's, a good night
Lol why is it zoomed in on his face
Who do you worship? Myself! Randy Blithe. Love that dude.

"In our new album coming..." holy crap, was he talking about Ashes??
Good stuff!! What'd he mean by "all those shows in Massachusetts.." though (when asked if metal is 'working class'). Is he implying Massachusetts isn't full of working-class people?
At this time they were still working day jobs.

hey man metalheads can be broke and become wealthy!! my doc is a metalhead he loves anthrax man he tells me about his day every visit
Wow, this was suggested since I was checking out their latest live session, this takes me back to those early days hanging with them in RVA before they broke. Mark and Randy look like freaking kids here. But the "metal shouldn't be political" types in the community are always funny... let me play "War Pigs" for you sometime, my dude and tell me more about it.

Metal is middle class. It's definitely not specifically working class, I'd say it's definitely a white collar rather than a blue collar's thing although not exclusively. Poorer individuals work their butts off, no time for the luxury of going out of their way to yell and bang, and metal appeals to the wealthy kid who wants to rebel, it's basically what romanticism was to the rich bourgeois long ago, today.
