Forget which segment but someone said last night Lamar & the Ravens played to win the game but it seemed like Purdy & the Niners played to win the mvp... tried to force too many plays. And it cost them.

Brock Purdy and his 4 interceptions with no td'S and his season lowest QB rating of 42.6 despite going into the game as the clear MVP front runner is the one who was exposed. The 4 interceptions Purdy threw last night added an astounding 42% of the total interceptions allowed all season. He was at only 7 interceptions going into the game and left the game with 11. That is NOT what a MVP does.

Thought Experiment: Imagine any other QB on BAL and ask yourself if BAL would still be the BEST team in the league? No. There isn’t another QB with the required skill set. Now imagine the next best RB in the league on the SF in place of CMC. Would they still be in the argument as the best team in the league? Yes. Barkley or Henry would still make SF a top 2 team in the league. This is why Lamar is the MVP.

Well, we'll see how Lamar and the Ravens do come playoff time. Last season, the Ravens ended the season with two losses and lost to the Bengals in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Last season, the 49ers won their last 10 games of the season then beat the Seahawks in the Wild Card game, beat the Cowboys in the Divisional Round, but lost to the Eagles after Purdy got injured. This year, before this game, the 49ers also had the longest winning streak in the NFL--six games including beating the Eagles and the Jaguars. Before this game the Ravens won 4 games in a row. Before this game the 49ers had already clinched a playoff birth as well as their division--so this loss could be meaningless in the grand playoff picture. Before this game the Ravens playoff hopes were still up in the air and had much more to lose than the 49ers.

The media is trying to fix the MVP award. Lamar had a good night and is on a good run but he has NOT had a great season. His stats tell you that. Dak and Purdy are both more deserving based on their work across the ENTIRE season. Lamar threw 5 TDs today but still only has 24 TDs for the entire year. Thats hardly MVP level. It doesn't even stack up to his MVP season in 19' when he really was the MVP.

I 100% disagree with RG3, MVP is supposed to be for a player that is statistically leading most categories plus the reason why his team is winning. This is not a knock on Lamar but he only has 24 total TDs but more importantly he has 11 fumbles with 7 INTs, the ravens defense is why the Ravens are so good.
