By having multiple turnovers, taking 4 sacks and having a QBR of 42? He had a good regular season but consistently shrinks in the playoffs where he has to face good competitions. Remember the 2020 playoffs where the Ravens lost 17-3? The Ravens defense gave up 10 points but Lamar threw a pick6 that the Ravens couldn't recover from.

Notice how Trevor or Herbert never have an "Expectations" on them, but somehow they are always Top-5 potential QB's. Dak, Lamar, Fields, Tua, and even Jayden Daniels now have "expectations", but what do they all have in common

Exactly. Lamar has higher expectations but lower rankings. Other QBs like Burrow get the privilege of being ranked higher while also not having same pressure to win a ring. No one had the Ravens making the playoffs in 2019 or last year for that matter …No one had them having a good roster last year ! They had a new offensive Coordinator and everyone in the media said it would be a disaster because Lamar couldn’t play in a pro style offense even though he played in one in College🤦🏾‍♂️ The Ravens greatness is built around Lamar …Not about the team being talented! I will give you this he doesn’t have any excuses anymore now that King Henry can make things much easier for him and Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman (if healthy) are very talented so it’s on him to elevate them

Why don't you start with the Colts vs Ravens 2021, KC vs Ravens 2021, Vikings vs Ravens 2021. 3 examples of 10 point or more deficit comeback wins. Outside of that please don't omit that the Ravens are normally up by double digits in almost every regular season game. Lamar didn't shrink against the Texans did he? Against the Chiefs he needed to play better because the coaching staff admitted they didn't give him enough options to control the game against KC's defense and they still lost by 7. And his MVP's and All-pros are hallow if he doesn't show up in the playoffs? Your QB was 7-8 in the playoffs until the last two years of his career and finished with a 54% completion in the playoffs. As a Lady Raven, This is one of the few honest takes @21:00, Is the Ravens & electric MVP @Lj_era8 2024 year a SB win or is this a bust? It's a win, @Ravensnation, #Sgellison we are coming out to scream and yell as we watch #Lamarjackson, #Kinghenry2, Mark, Zay, Likely & Monk learn from their mistakes, as they bring the storm the rain, thunder and lightning its going to be epic this year see y'all 9.5.24 for the juggernaut game opener.

Last year was the first year they even gave Lamar a legit NFL level passing scheme and it still wasn't great, because they were still transitioning from Roman's offense.

Been following Mark for two decades on TV and for most part love his analysis but he’s not objective at all when it comes to Lamar. Blinded by preconceived biases because he thought Lamar would be a bust. My theory is if Michael Vick didn’t waste his talent and lived up to his potential in Atlanta, Mark wouldn’t be so skeptical of Lamar. It’s up to Lamar to win it all to forever shed narratives about style of play that Vick could have shattered two decades ago if he lived up to his potential. The irony is I think what will put Lamar over the hump is what put Marks Broncos over the hump in an all time great RB. I see Derrick Henry stiff arming Father Time the next few years and being what Terrell Davis was to the 1997-98 Broncos

You need hand on the ground DEs to move to a 4-3. It's not an easy transition if you have the wrong players. And maybe in 1985 when Schlereth played football, 3-4 defenses went to a traditional nickel when facing single-back formations. Now-a-days they go to a 3-3-5 so they still have three down lineman. As for Lamar or Dak being under more pressure, nonsense. Every starting QB in the league is under a tremendous amount of pressure every year. The ones who haven't yet gotten the big paydays are under the most pressure. If Lamar or Dak flame out completely from this point on, they are still jet-setters. How can they be under more pressure than the guy who's gonna be selling cars for 30 years if he flames out?

Back in the day when the Ravens had Lewis, Suggs and either Adalius Thomas or later Jarrett Johnson, tell me which of those three linebackers are you taking off the field to put in a fourth down lineman in a nickel? Just because Suggs moves forward a bit doesn't make it four down lineman, it's the same personnel. So why nobody picked that roster to play like that going into the season? They didn’t have nowhere close to the best roster. They don’t have an elite guy at any of the positions they say are the most important besides qb. Who’s at edge, corner, wr, OT were being rotated in and out and mark andrews wasn’t there. They played the best most of the season vs expectations but that roster didn’t even compare to SF or Philly roster. Browns had a better roster. Dallas had a better roster

Patriots post Brady, Steelers post Big Ben, Browns, Broncos first year with Hackett, the list goes on in recent and all throughout modern history that is hardly the recipe that makes a team elite without great QB play. You also conveniently ignore that none of the pundit class picked the Ravens to even win the division let alone get the 1 seed. Lamar was supposed to struggle in more of a traditional offense, instead he led them to #2 scoring offense in the NFL when he was starter.

Lamar has elite coaches, elite defense, elite tight ends, elite rb's, elite oline. Even elite special teams. The rat birds benefitted from every single afc north starting qb going down in 2023 & multiple other qbs & team injuries! & they still choked & couldnt get it done. This just shows you know nothing. Ravens offensive coaching staff was inept from 2020-2022. In 2021 the Ravens had the worst pass defense and the 19th best scoring defense. In the second half 2020 and 2021, the Ravens o-line was a bottom 10 offensive line. In 2021, our week 1 starting RBs were Ty'son Williams, Latavius Murray (who had only been on the team for 1 week), and Devonta Freeman... In 2022 our RBs were 2 people coming off of torn ACLs. And tell me, what exactly has Joe Burrow done? Like are you proud he made it to the Super Bowl and lost?

Don't know shit about Joe or the Bengals.... that's crazy....

Lamar is awesome, but his playoff record is poor… He is under 500 winning percentage completing only 57% of his passes 6TD and 6 interceptions. Teams play them in the playoffs to make Lamar beat them from the pocket and he hasn’t. Those are facts has nothing to do with the color of a skin!

Why does he sit out most 4th quarters with a blowout? Why is he on his 3rd OC and still winning MVP’s. Why is he able to do this with less talent around him than other players? Lamar jackson is the greatest QB in NFL history. He hasn’t even played with the best talent around him.

I'm sick of hearing how elite Lamar is. He crumbles in the playoffs. That last playoff loss? This isn't hyperbole..... I've never in my life seen such Pss poor body language. It reminded me of Jerry Jeudy at his worst, acting a fool over Steve Smith's critique. Not 1 for 1, but similar vibes. It's like Lamar got completely exposed which in turn made him fake cocky? Idk what it was but it was disturbing, embarrassing, and horrible demeanor for a supposed leader. It made me rethink him. Not a fan and you'd have to be terrified deep down as a Ravens fan. Lamar gave up in that game and I'm glad to hear someone finally question him.

What playoff was Burrow/Herbert/ or Lawrence in last year ? 🤔 shouldn’t they be the ones under the most pressure ? Are they not 3 highest paid players in the league ? Didn’t they all get hurt ? Last year the narrative was “RUnning QBs get injured” and they need to be available in order to be elite …none of the above names were available!

funny a two time mvp 1 vote shy of a 2nd unanimous mvp has the most pressure (after being in a brand new offense and took them to the afc championship). but joe burrow doesn't. that doesn't sound right. no pressure for Justin Herbert, or josh Allen? why non of them. Lamar has been the first and last option on his team for over 5 years. while the others have been given every weapon on both sides of the ball and neither has had a super bowl. let alone being the best player in the league. very funny. accolades don't matter to people who just are blind to what they like.
