Lamar Jackson can win games in SO MANY ways! - Chris Berman on Texans-Ravens | NFL PrimeTime

Спорт

Chris Berman and Booger McFarland react to Lamar Jackson's 100 rushing yards in the Baltimore Ravens' 34-10 win over the C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans to advance to the AFC Championship, where they will play against Patrick Mahomes & the Kansas City Chiefs or Josh Allen & the Buffalo Bills for a chance to punch their ticket to Super Bowl LVIII.

Lamar's first five years: Greg Roman's high school passing scheme and bottom five WR corps. Lamar this year: Todd Monken's passing scheme, Zay Flowers and a veteran OBJ It's not Reid/McDaniel/Shanahan/Stefanski and Hill/Waddle, Chase/Higgins, Samuel/Aiyuk, but its the first year that Lamar's had decent support that gives him a good chance.

Under 200 yards passing 4 tds show super efficiency. In the playoffs where teams really prefer to run the ball due to weather conditions you really have to hit the few passes. That's the difference between Dak and Lamar. Dak will have all these passing yards that don't impact the score whatsoever. Lamar will drive 75 yards and score the first time usually. Dak and Allen will drive 80 yards throw a interception and then have to drive another 80 yards or 2 before they score again. I rather the guy who scores the quickest and turns the ball over the least. Hero ball is fun to watch but that doesn't win a lot of playoff games. Tom Brady was the king of efficiency and that's why a lot of fans questioned is dominance because his number never screamed dominance but that win column did lol

MVP stands for most valuable player no doubt Lamar is the most valuable player to the best team in the league this year he deserves the award no matter the numbers the award is deeper than a specific set of numbers in my opinion. The goal is to win and qbs need an oline and wrs to have big passing numbers if u can’t get them the ball u gotta do what u gotta do to get yardage these dline guys in 2024 are fast and only getting faster and stronger every qb in the future will have to be mobile

If they pull it off this year and keep good offensive pieces around him, Lamar has a chance to become one of the all time great QBs this league has ever seen especially as a dual threat. The only two players who were in his stratosphere as an athlete at the QB position were Steve Young and Cam Newton. He can just win games in so many different ways and it’s no way to really stop him, only hope to contain him.

Jackson is a running back masquerading as a decent QB. It makes one wonder when his luck will run out, one solid hit could put him out of the game. Most QB's give this practice up after they get seriously hurt.

That old dog doesn't hunt anymore. Peyton Manning overcame his obstacles to win 2 superbowls later in his career. Lamar overcame his yesterday and is following in the footsteps of Peyton's idol and a Louisviille Alumni: the Great Johnny Unitas of the Baltimore Colts!

Lamar needs to stop the scrambling ad lib for home runs during blitzes and pressures and concentrate more on timing / syncing up with his WR's and get the dang ball out of his hands quick to them for more short passing completions. 50 yards passing in an entire half is quite terrible, but ESPN pushes how he can beat you in so many ways. No ESPN, tonight proved he couldnt do much at all with the arm and the legs was mostly where it had to be done. I see a scenario where Mahomes takes a lead on Ravens defense he leans on so much and then the floodgates open. Someone tell Lamar theres nothing wrong with lots of 5-7 yard completions to control the clock. This constant run or Homerun stuff against KC could bite them. You dont want to have to contnue to hand a ball back over to Mahomes, like what happened tonight. Luckily for the Ravens, Texans were down 2 offensive playmakers or it could be the Texans going to the AFCCG.

@@Ojlegacy yeah, i will keep watching and hoping sometime during his career, i will witness a game where he actually plays well throughout a playoff game. 50 yards passing over an entire half is a complete joke and a 2 time mvp futre hof qb should play better. newsflash for you- he will not be afforded mega stacked teams every year moving forward, so you should watch and hope the team he is a part of this year can get it done this year because this may be the best and only shot you will witness with him under center.

No he can't. Lamar can only win in one way against good defenses, and that's how he won today: by playing as a running back pretending to be a QB. He can't pass against any half decent defense, that's why he only had 152 passing yards and most of his completions were checkdowns. If his running game doesn't work he's done in the playoffs. Today he was very lucky to be playing a hopeless franchise with an inexperienced young team but his only way forward is either refball help or blind luck.
