This seasons' flower show at Lalbagh Botanical Gardens is paying a special floral tribute to Karnataka’s second Chief Minister Sri Kengal Hanumanthaiah.
The Flower Show is showcasing floral replicas of Vidhana Soudha, Shivapura Satyagraha Soudha, Karnataka map & flag. Along with these, many models showcasing the contributions of the former CM to the state of Karnataka is on display. Informative posters detailing the various important events & activities of the former CM is on display as well. There is a 30-feet railway model built as part of a vertical garden.
As opposed to imported flowers, this year’s flower show has display of indigenously grown flowers. Millions of flowers have been used in the replicas as well as display items both inside and outside the glass house.
Many stalls selling plants, seeds, manures, artefacts, bags etc., are also opened.
Another interesting thing about the show is that it is a zero-waste, zero-plastic, and zero-littering event!
Ticket: The entry ticket fare, is Rs 70 per adult & Rs.30 per child below 12 years on working days. However, on weekends & holidays, the entry fare is Rs 80 per adult.
The flower show is open to the public from August 4th to 15th of 2023.
