Lakshadweep is same as Maldives... Because, Lakshadweep also has 95% muslims, Once Lakshadweep got world class amenities (just like maldives) then, Locals of Lakshadweep will also turn against india as usual... and they will use their resources/economy against india Government of india need to focus on maldives and Lakshadweep people's religion (to make them come out of islam)(and not infrastructure). People will automatically create development opportunities for themselves, once they are out of islam....

I like the enthusiasm about these islands, not the hype. These places have to be well developed before promoting them as tourist destinations. Without basic infrastructure and proper control, these places can turn into tourist nightmares any time.

Government needs to bring private players to make world class hotels, activities, and infrastructure so that local tourism gets a big boost. Indians are so rich that if lakshadweep gets Maldives type quality infra, then they will spent huge amount in spending time in lakshadweep

Agreed, mostly what attracts couple to tour maldives is the hut stay connecting from bridges stretching long in the middle of water, if we can build the same infrastructure where they create hotels, huts and resorts surrounding the waters it will be a big boost for tourism

I had the opportunity to visit Lakshadweep islands in 2014...thanks to my brother who is a UT civil services officer and was posted there...made lifetime memories in Bangaram island...where there were barely 10-12 persons... I always imagined spending time on a secluded island enjoying solitude...the water is emerald blue and so clear that we could watch the fishes and corals below...went snorkelling in Bangaram and it was a lifetime experience which I cherish till today...rode a speed vessel, luxury speed boat from Agari to Bangaram...got the opportunity to ride a helicopter from Kavaratti to Kichi on my way back and that was another precious memory...I always felt that Lakshadweep islands have tremendous tourism potential... though at that time there were a few hiccups while traveling from one island to another...I heard that new developments were going on for the past couple of years...would love to visit the newly developed island again

Full support to Indian government let's visit Lakshadweep and promote tourism there ♥️

Maldives is very expensive. Lakshadweep India within the proximity and with same white sandy beach but much less expensive and safe waiting to be discovered. India itself is the world complete with diverse geography and cultures.
