Hey Jamal! could you react to"La de da de da de da de day oh" by bill Wurtz? He's quite young (32) and makes some pretty abstract music. he 3d animates his songs as well to tell the story better which means each KZread video he posts takes months to make (his main platform is KZread). very distinctive genre he is :) he does literally everything in the video, every instrument and every animation and I think you'd find him a wonderful discovery. have a blessed day 💕

I actually had this record! This version is too short, there's a rap that they do that's necessary to hear! In reference to the bass, this song actually has two bass instruments playing! One a bass guitar, the other is a synthesizer. Listen close and you'll see how they interplay to make such a funky groove!

Classic song right here, we partied/roller skated to this jam 14yrs before Coolio did his version. Got to see Lakeside live in the early 80's with The Whispers, Shalamar & Dynasty. It was a great show. When i saw Lakeside they were in cowboy gear promoting the Rough riders lp. This was my 2nd r&b/ funk concert. My 1st was The Gap Band & Con-Funk-Shun. When The Gap Band had the hit - Oops up side your head & Con-Funk-Shun had the hit - Chase me it was also a great show. If you need to dance to more Lakeside check out Raid & Turn the music up. We also skated to there song too back then. enjoy

Lakeside is one of those great 1970's R&B/Funk bands that defined the era! There were many great bands like this, such as, Cameo, The Barkays, Kool and the Gang, Earth Wind and Fire, The Commodores, and Parliment/Funkadelic! These bands had amazing musicians and great vocals and let's not forget the amazing costumes! LOL! My older sisters had all the albums from these bands the music would fill the house when our parents weren't home! LOL! This brings back so many great memories from my childhood! Coolio did a remake, of sorts, of this song but nothing compares to the original!💖💖

That Bass Was Undeniable 🕺🏾
This song always takes me back to my senior year in high school - I graduated in 1982 and this song came out at the end of 1981. And our senior class trip was a cruise to the Bahamas so this sort of became our class song. Great memories!
Finally, glad you picked up my request from a year ago. The True Funk
💃"Come along , pack ya' bags, get on up & JAM, Y'ALL!"😂🙌
I actually had this record! This version is too short, there's a rap that they do that's necessary to hear! In reference to the bass, this song actually has two bass instruments playing! One a bass guitar, the other is a synthesizer. Listen close and you'll see how they interplay to make such a funky groove!

As soon as I saw the name!!! Up with you!! Love Lakeside! Groove on Jamel!! I miss old school! 😆
First class funk! Bass made me think of EWF Let's Groove. I wanted more of your pop-locking 😁
Awww Yeeaah! I remember roller skating to this in high school.
My generation knows the lyrics to the beginning of this song. 😁
Gotta check out Lakesides It's All the Way Live. Best of the disco era.
When you get up and dance I can't help but smile. Reminds me of when we had dances at college. This song always started a soul 🚂.
Awesome fun right there!!! Loved it!❤
I am not sure when to slip in request, so here it goes. 7/17 or this pass Saturday Robby Steinhardt passed away. He was the violinist for Kansas, so my request to you is "Aperçu" off of their first album. Thanks.

No way! Really? That’s a damn shame. I tell ya, there all just slipping away. Good thing their sound is put to vinyl. RIP Robby ✌️
We also skated to there song too back then. enjoy
On my early 80s roller skating playlist on Spotify!
Lakeside was great to see live. Their stage performances was incredible with the costumes and their dance routines
Maaaan, I appreciate you and the good music. It always makes me smile when I see how much you enjoy the Jams. Thanks man
No matter how bad a day I'm having, funk will always lift my spirits and make my heart sing. Lakeside was an awesome band!
Brother Jamel, you always put a smile on my face! Peace and Love!
YES SIR YES SIR!!!!!!!! Taking me back to the good times!!!!!!!!
If you don’t wanna climb aboard and go to the land of FUNK with these guys, something isn’t right. Love it! Keep up the great work, Jamel!
Just listened to this song by Lakeside last week. Love the synchronicity.

We need more humans like you. Thank you for just being you!😁🙂
Classic song. The bass is everything.
" Musical pleasure " . That sums up this song perfectly .
Omg you’re so cute! Thank you for once again making me smile!!!☮️💜
Let's do more like this!!! Takes me way back! Love it!
One of my all time favorite feel-good dance songs! I heard this on the radio when I was in my dorm room in college in 1981, and as soon as it ended, I walked directly to the record store and bought this cassette tape album (I had a boom box...lol). Loved the song ever since. And btw, the video cut out about a minute early...there was more to the song than what we just saw.

You can’t be still while listening to this one!!! If you can, you’re dead 😂 ♥️
One of the best jams from those days!
Now you've started something. Lakeside Videos: "Something About That Woman," and the remake of the Beatles' "I Want to Hold Your Hand."
This was one of those songs when I was a kid at the skating rink that we’d all scream for when it would come on. Thanks for the memory!
This is one of my favorite songs. I love it when you get up and dance. I always find myself up and dancing too. Its contagious. Your channel always brings a smile. Have a great day!
LOVE this. Back in the day, this must have gotten EVERYONE on the dance floor.

These guys were from Dayton where I went to college, we saw them quite a bit. Also, Bootsy Collins, Midnight Star and Klymaxx...all these groups always seems to be around..
We use to do a dance called the gigalo to this song. I danced on American Bandstand to this song. This is the jam!

This is it!!! Woo ...You had me laughing with the pop locking...I remember this living in Phoenix I was 12 years old..great memories..
I pimped my kiddos when coolio came out with this that it was a remake. They said no way and then I played this for them. SMACk!!!
Way too short! Still got that 12"-version on vinyl.. Jamel, the extended version is a must! Bought it in 1981... time flies when you're having FUNK!
Me again, try Slave: “Watching You” just one ☝🏼 of many Fire 🔥 hits from Slave circa: 70’s well into the 1980’s. I was with your Mom jamming to this, Grown Folks Music 🎶 Lol 😉❣️

Funk and especially freestyle are the most underrated musical genres
Love this song. It's the best! Party song for sure. Thanks for sharing. ❤️
So much fun! I remember dancing to this back in the day. I keep saying BRING BACK THE FUNK! Thanks Jamel 😊.
Thank you! I was so in to funk in the 70’s and 80’s. This brings back so many great memories. My friends were in to rock and I was the funky one. Went to Earth Wind and Fire in Seattle, 1977 by myself, white girl, 18, I had the time of my life! One of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
If Jamel is standing at the start of a video I know it's going to be funky, cause he's fixing to dance.
I have loved this song since it was on the radio... Originally. Our stations here in SW Ohio still play it almost every day.
Great dance song! This takes me back to my disco days. Good times and great memories.
Music of my youth! Old school is the best school. My gosh, we had some GOOD TIMES!
Believe it or not, they're still around and tour. You can lookup Original Lakeside. Love the Funk!!!!

That bass is badddddd baby!!!! Whoooii hoooo!!!
First time for me, after all these years get to watch them and hear them. Harmonies like EW&F!
They were one of my 1st concerts. They shared billing with the groups Shalimar, The Whispers and Carrie Lucas. The Solar Label tour in early 80s.
You need to get you some Brick "Dazz" extended version 1976 - PEACE LOVE n HIPPYNESS ✌️☮️
Great song. Heard this Friday banging out on a late night drive home with four people singing along. Fun times.

I believe Lakeside is from Dayton Ohio the home of Funk Music. Ohio Players are from Dayton Ohio. Roger Trautman I think that's his you spell it is from Dayton. Bootsie Collins is from Cincinnati and still down there played with George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelics. The song Atomic Dog!! Love the Funk
I keep requesting all of these reactors to react to Lakeside and The Chi-Lites…..Jamel is the first one to do it. How can anyone not groove to this?
One of the best funk songs - of all time! Get on up and jam y'all! Come on and ride on the funk, y'all!!
I love dudes' purple pirate hat!
I remember being in the club in the early ‘80s hearing that song for the first time. It stopped me in me tracks, I had to grab a girl and hit the dance floor!
