This place is great for older people in that it hasn’t really changed since the 1990s, maybe longer. It’s a genuine time capsule, think Mayberry with palm trees.
A perfect, pleasant destination.
A charming, up and coming town. Visit during the day - not much open in the evening and everything is closed on Sunday.

I'd move to Lake Wales, but after visiting the place myself. Even though it is a nice place and love the rolling hills that surround the area, as well as the Bok Tower Garden that sits on top of Iron Mountain (300 foot mountain but none the less looks quite impressive). There is no job market there, the downtown is pretty old and rundown. Its a city with a lot of potential, but it has a long way to go. As of right now it would be a nice retirement town, but not a place for young professionals. And if you wanted to rise a family here I guess you could commute to Winter Haven, LakeLand, or Bartow for work, but that's a 45 min commute or more on a regular basis. So idk Lake Wales still has a long way to go.

Lots of crime and not much to do. Bartow, Winter Haven or Lakeland may be better choices.
I appreciate you coming to our city and looking around but if you wanted to make the video look a little bit better you should do a little commentary of what you're looking at and point the camera towards the store so they can see what the stores have to offer just a little advice for a better video.😊
