This is our second day of Lake Tahoe tour, today we explore beautiful sand harbor and hike to kings falls. Sand Harbor located on south Lake Tahoe Nevada. and kings falls located very far from south lake Tahoe near Carson city. Around second half of the day we heading to drive around the lake and then we heading to kings falls, we stopped at local COSTCO on the way for gas. and we reached there after 4 and after long walk we unable to locate falls and had to return. If you plan for kings falls then try to hike during the bright day time because this place became little lonely after noon and there are wildlife too. and be ready for hike long. This area is beautiful views and scenic drive. we stopped several spots for photo during back. we also drive around the forest area too. During Fall season we visit so we enjoy the beautiful fall colors as well.
After back to our hotel we go for exploring local gift shops and do lots of local shopping. we explore by walk because we stayed at main market area. But all gift shops closed around 6 pm so keep that in mind. and the area became little less crowdy after dark and there are so many bears at this area, who might visit very often.
we order Thai food from local restaurant which is really tasty and fresh. But be sure to order food with some time before your dinner time, because they took minimum an hour to prepared food, it is because the restaurants are small business and they make fresh food for every individual customer. If you planning to order local pizza then make sure to place order at least three hours because they sold out quick...specially on weekends, we fail to do so this time.
on day 3 we enjoy sunrise from commons beach which is just opposite at motel we stayed. After that we had our breakfast and heading to home. On the way back we stopped at local dam and park, and we give several of stopes on the way back at lake Tahoe forest and camping area to enjoy the view and take pictures.
so overall our lake Tahoe experience is awesome and relaxing during this pandemic. Hotels rea safe and nicely sanitized. This trip is like a fresh breeze after rain. I personally think without visiting lake Tahoe living in the USA is incomplete. this is the place where we both want to come back over and over again. And i am very happy to explore local shops and buy some local items.
