Lake Superior Circle Tour Solo Motorcycle Camping

A quick late May solo camping trip around Lake Superior on my motorcycle (sfv650). The traffic is light and the campground are empty this time of year. I stop in Duluth, Nipigon, Neys Provincial Park, Marathon, and St. Ignace.

I have watched a LOT of videos of cycle trips around Lake Superior (and may other trips, too), and this is definitely one of the BEST. Good job of mixing road footage with narration and captions to explain where you are and to put things in context. Love the side trip to the old POW camp. Who knew? Cool tunes, too.

Briefly visited Neys prov park in the 1980's & never knew the was a pow camp., thanks for the picts I never saw., still ride ., like your video , hope it sponsors a few vacations like it ., side note Algonquin park has few mosquito's in july , where as on top of superior has a lot(Chutes prov park comes to mind )...don' know why ., keep on doing the trips in Ontario , people are missing a lot even with the extra info that was just an idea in my day.

The boats are very cool. They look like they were rather large boats. Might be fun to resurrect one of them.

Like your thinking on wired to a relay connections ...heat is resistance ., this heat means connection no matter how clean & good looking , is not working, & needs re crimping or re doing. At the very least for others reading this always use a fuse &(a small value one).

Great video I plan on going the same time at the end of May. When you said the weather was cool ... can you recall what kind of temperatures you dealt with and maybe fog issues? Thanks So much!

Enjoyed your video; we're heading up there this May. Might I ask what video editor you use ? I know it is a time consuming job to cut, edit, label, and add music, you did a great job. Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Oh, and we'll be on a Goldwing pulling a Bunkhouse camper.

Motivating video my friend. I was thinking about taking this trip but I don't have a passport currently so I am debating on just around Wisconsin and into the U.P.

Next time bring some "off" bug spray. The stuff in the blue can is the best. It will keep the skitters at bay. And my god man, clean your windshield once in a while!

Still problematic our legal system would love to find evidence of barbed wire & accompanying atrocities of these camps for survivors seeking compensation .In many cases it was more like "Hogans Hero's " where participants would find routes to the corner variety to buy smokes...At the same time their personal property (no matter what the value was confiscated) Japanese & Chinese ameracanadians took a huge hit, & often times found here homes & buisnes's taken over by opportunistic thieves granted impunity by the government!!
