Mooresville is best known as the home of many NASCAR racing teams and drivers, along with an IndyCar team and its drivers, as well as racing technology suppliers, which has earned the town the nickname "Race City USA". Sherrills Ford is an unincorporated community and former census-designated place (CDP) in Catawba County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 941 at the 2000 census. For the 2010 census it was included within the Lake Norman of Catawba CDP. It is part of the Hickory-Lenoir-Morganton Metropolitan Statistical Area. Real estate numbers show that there is approx. 6,573 residents living in Sherrills Ford in 2022.

    Excellent video of such a wonderful, but highly growing, area. I love the air footage as it provides a completely different perspective of how closely connected the towns really are as one sees so far in each view.

    Look up Lake Norman Airport in Mooresville. One side of the neighborhood is the lake, the other side is the airport.

    Davidson was actually named after General Davidson who was a Revolutionary War hero.
