When it comes to bass fishing out West you have to mention Lake Casitas. She is one of the most beautiful lakes on the West coast located in the Los Padres National Forest of Ventura County, California. On this episode of Stoked On Fishing were hanging out with some good friends and doing some spring time bass fishing with light tackle.

I've been to Casitas one time which was to fish on shore. I see that somebody caught a bass on a Fat Ika which is my favorite lure to use at any lake. Now I know which color to select from. Thanks! :)

Don't think I have seen a drop shot rigged that way, I always see the worm either nose hooked or Texas rigged with the hook point in. Why is the hook exposed like a reverse Texas rig? What size hook is that, do you find that a slightly bigger hook helps with bigger fish?

They are bed fishing at Casitas which means lots of rats. He rigs this way because they are basically sight fishing in open water. Kinda like shooting fish in a barrel but the only way to make a day at Casitas seem exciting. Those days are long gone like the water.

Wrong, you just have to know how to fish it. I still have 15-30 fish days every time I fish out there. Always getting into the 2-3 pound class fish with a couple 4-5 pounders throughout the day
I'm Going to California in September around San Diego and I was thinking of going saltwater fishing. But something tells me not to fish for bass in California . Western bass fishing just seems weird. I live in the Midwest were there native and not introduced like California and we always talk about how western bass fishing seems weird. But that's just me

I NEVER SIGN IN!!! But for this I will. I am buying a Chevy truck into months. I can promise you I will not go to this dealership. I would eat raw crappy first. If you want to make a commercial do it. But don’t do it this way. Anybody that would slip this in here like this God only knows what they slip to you at the dealership. Unbelievable. Your demoted to cat fishing
