I love balochi and Baloch culture! Love from *Islamabad* 💖 pyaaary logo salam qubool kro!

In the comment section i see lot of confusion, some saying its Sindhi (Ethnic group living in Pakistan and India) and some saying its persian (Iranian). Well I speak Sindhi and persian and this is not either of them. This is Balochi language which is spoken in Balochistan (eastern balochistan in pakistan and western balochistan in Iran). The Balochi language has the closest similarities to Kurdish, Avestan, old Persian. If I'm not mistaken this song was originally sung by Ustad Aziz Baloch who was from Liyari Karachi.

Eli G definition of an ethnic group is a collection of people who have common ancestry, culture and usually language. Shindis are natives of Sindh. Due to partition, most Hindu Sindhis migrated to India. It is how Punjab is a State and Punjabis are an ethnic group. I may live in Punjab but I may not necessarily be ethnically a Punjabi. There is political identity and there is a cultural identity. Just my two pence. When you say Shind is only a geographical province you are robbing many Indian Shindis of their identity.

Dear Sir, Very rarely have i heard such a beautiful voice and rendition of an old song as you have done with laila o laila. Despite having lashari blood in our veins, we remain unable to understand the verses, our loss I remember this song from my youth when it sed to come on black and White tv by Faqir M Khan and after about 40 years i heard it and what an experience it was... God bess you for reviving my memories and giving us such a beautiful piece of work

I’m from Pakistan and I’m son of pure land Pakistan Baluchistan chaman... I love this song

finally my mother tongue!!!. This is a very specific language and if you learn kurdish it feels like you are listening to a sister language. Scholars also do say this is a glimse into the old farsi. It is spoken across across sistan, balochistan and southern afghanistan, and oman. Some old folks still can speak it in Tanzania - there is a large diaspora of 5th generation baloch went there in early 1800s.

This is my Balochistan and Pakistan, not the one they portray in the news. Beautiful composition, amazing music. Hats off coke studio

My comment was the last which was 4 years ago! I first heard this brilliant folk song when I was a kid and saw it live in a folk festival by the legendry Balochi folk singer, *Faiz Muhammad Baloch*, afterwards, I hear this on PTV by Abdul Aziz Baloch. I introduced this wonderful upload to many of my foreigner friends ... all of them loved it! The rugged terrain of Balochistan is very mystique. People are very simple, hospitable and truthful. The folk culture is extremely rich which spread from the boundaries of Sindh in South, KP up in North and up to Iran in the West. *Rustom Mirlashari* is brought up and educated in Sweden, but the Balochi genes forced him to shake his shoulders in typical Balochi way. He is too good!! The most favorite character of mine in the whole video is the accordion player, the way he was involved is a treat to see. Overall, it's a great production ... I just forgot the count as how many times I watched it! ♥

1 AM local time....waiting for some details from my offshore team in India.....day started at 6AM....the only thing keeping me up is this mellifluous/uplifting/heartwarming music....I have this feeling that I will not get an iota of sleep tonight.....will be playing this tune for the next few weeks at work, while driving, on the plane, everywhere, all the time.....
