Lack of preparedness on the chauffeur. Last one to rig, then he has to get his coat out. All his gear should be right at his door.

It doesn't matter if he's the last one in because the truck has to go first when they run in a Task Force configuration. As for his turnout coat - it has to stay inside the apparatus. Policies on safety / cancer prevention and all.

Notice that the officer doesn't hurry. After years of runs what's the rush. It's a car fire. It's not going anywhere.

It's a crap run. Auto fire. Remember, there's a drought. They will conserve water if they wait long enough.

and lets not forget the rescues. a beautiful house, and sure would look empty without the usar, since the end of the heavy task force days in the 70's. sure would have been nice to see em roll back in the day. maybe someday someone will restore a 50' crown snorkel and tiller if there are any left.

Tyler Alvarado The oldest rigs the department has are the 1992 reserve Seagrave hazmat squads so the Crown snorkels probably aren't coming back. Thanks for watching!

of course, i meant for museum purposes...they have a history and should have been preserved. but then again they do not have a huge amount of space. based on what info i have found only one crown tiller is still in existence, and its the one from Berkeley fd. so probably impossible to restore for display reasons.

Thats the average for FDNY unless its a fire call with people reported trapped. Then they are out the door in 45 seconds.
