Lady Paula is as sweet in person as you see here. She loved people regardless of what she endured as an Archbishop’s wife and yes, even as his wife at his passing. Lady Paula is an exceptional person. Incredibly compassionate and so unquestionably warm and humble. I love you Lady Paula.

RicanRojo She just exudes sweetness and i truly can see why you guys love her so much! She's honest, she put right out there and was really comical too i might add and you're so blessed to have her!👍👍 She reminds me of our first Lady so much, an awesome woman, well 2 awesome women of God

We taught together years ago at a school in Brooklyn; and when Bishop got sick; she took a leave of absence immediately to take care of Bishop. She always talked about how the women of the church would cook for Bishop. She was a very humble woman of God!

She is so sweet and kind spirited!!Can see why he married her.

Tina Cowar Sis, I was so bless to sit at the feet of Bishop Roy E. Brown & Sis. Paula Brown at Pilgrim Ministries. I was blessed to learn praise, worship the word and how to be a woman of God under Bishop leadership. Sis. Paula in this video was the same in person. Sis. Paual was never to busy to talk or laugh us at Pilgrim. After I move to GA, I would call Bishop and Paula at home and it was as if I never left NY. Their love was unconditional. A true General has gone from labour to reward. May God continue to strengthen Sis. Paula on her journey. ❤❤❤❤

Charlane Strickland what a wonderful testimony of love, admiration, and respect for God's anointed! I know how it feels when your spiritual father and general is called home. My prayer is for you in the days to come. I pray that in those times when you would go to call him and he's unable to answer on this side of heaven that God will gently remind you that he has poured into you everything needed to handle every assignment. I also pray that as you go through this changing of the guards that God will make you sensitive to your new and forthcoming assignment(s). God is going to use you greatly in ways that you have not imagined. You were moved to another state for a reason beyond what you have yet to realize. God will reveal more soon. My love and prayers are with you woman of God as God does the miraculous in you, through you, and for you!

NotKarltonBanks sent me here, and at first I was crying laughing at his post as well as the 12:30 mark, too. But when I went back to try to listen to the whole thing, I couldn't really laugh any more. He told his realtor that the Lord said that she was going to be his wife (but the Lord didn't tell her and she seemed in disbelief). He *announced* that he was going to marry her and over-ruled her mothers objections. Maybe there is more to the story, but these sound more like pronouncements than a proposal. A 53 year old man gave a 33 year old woman 6 days to prepare to marry him. She didn't even get to plan her own wedding (from what it sounded like). She didn't even get a honeymoon. She was immediately relegated to 2nd place after "kingdom work." And the church culture is such that many of these statements got laughs or applause. That's really concerning for me. I wish her well and she seems like a truly beautiful person, inside and out. But too many things seem off about this whole deal for me to look at it the same way as when I first saw it. I hope I'm wrong (but I fear I'm not).

Was that this sweet girl was not someone that was "Churched" if you feel me which i know you do😀 and so she kind of went with the flow I'm thinking? He was an Archbishop with 20 yrs of life & spirituality on her & if she wasn't really understanding of that whole deal, she sort of just allowed him to for the sake of a better word, teach her? Idk, I'm just throwing a couple thoughts out there...Let me know what you think about that....☺

I'm sorry, but no. (I know you're not endorsing that view, but just offering an explanation of what *could* have been the case). I'll be brutally honest- I think he took advantage of his position and power and manipulated her naivete. The way she was talking about him sounded like she was revering a King, not remembering an equal partner in marriage. Everything about this feels so wrong to me. I don't doubt that he may have done good for the Kingdom during his life, but the way she so plainly (and innocently) recounts how he abused the people around him is really damning, in my opinion. Imposing on people, coming over unannounced, intruding on rest and vacations, demanding servitude from his subordinates' spouses. Nothing about this is how people in power are supposed to act, especially not in the church. And two things sort of give it away- you can tell how the bishops are hesitant to even respect her request to stand so that she can address them. This is a systemic issue that we have to deal with in the Black church-- the delegitimization of Black Women in our congregations. Second, you can tell when she is addressing the pastors' wives who stand up, about how what their duties are. It sounds cultish. A woman's life isn't supposed to revolve around her husband, but it seems like she is clearly stating that's exactly what she was groomed to do. It's really sad. Do you think I'm overshooting here? (BTW, thanks for engaging)

Wow. I didn't know he passed. I had my first fire upper room encounter at 19 New Greater Bethel tent revival in Queens, NYC by this man. He was a guest speaker and it was powerful. I mean I went home on the bus still uttering the heavenly language without control. Hay was in my hair but i left a filled with the Holy Ghost person. God bless this man.

I'm not sure how i managed to get here, but i am SO GLAD that i did! Although i didn't have the opportunity to meet the Bishop or visit the church, his wife & 1st Lady simply exudes a sweet spirit! I love that she is very honest and open, she's smart and beautiful as well....That job of first lady is not for everyone, you must surely be called and given the tools to sustain by God bcoz tho it may look "glamorous" on the outside a whole lot of them have to endure so much! You have to be a special kind of woman to be able to deal with not just your husband, but the members & everyone else and i applaud this lovely WOG bcoz just her pure honest speaking will continue to carry her far in this life and i pray her strength in the Lord....RIH ARCHBISHOP 💔💔💔

Most first ladies are first, but they are not ladies. It’s obvious why he chose her. Beautiful spirit, beautiful, trustworthy and honest. People of shallow character would not only envy but take advantage of her which is what happened. Yes the same show sent me here. For them to take that house from her shame on them. They have cursed themselves for treating her that way. I don’t know her but I know God, and when his children are mistreated God takes it personally. Those people who treated Lady Brown this way better run.
