Not much impresses me these days the way that Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Hank Williams, and Ray Charles did. But Lady Gaga knocks me out! I love the way she commits herself completely to the song.

I may not always like her song choices, but does she have a voice? Lord, yes! And, yes, her presentation is always an all in proposition.

No surprise, her voice sounds incredible.

The way she interacts with the band both physically and musically shows that she's a seasoned professional!

This version… is purely just lustrous and elegance. Pure ethereal beauty.

Her voice sounds so powerful

I love this performance more than I can express. Her whole body, from her lungs to her face to the pantomime, makes you believe that she believes what she's singing. This is, like, a crowd-plesaser song usually, often a sing-a-long if you meet it in a club, but she makes it sound so personal! And stylish at the same time. The Streisand-esque belts and gentle releases, the banter with the players, it's all just perfect, Lady Gaga was such a slow burn for me; I didn't listen to any pop music when her career started, indeed would loudly tell anyone who'd listen how cool I was for not doing so. If only we could just erase our teenage selves! But I grew up, and Lady Gaga seemed to master a new genre every five years, and now, just... dang. She's produced so many of my favorite performances, by anyone. How does she fit so much talent in one body?

She’s one of my idols. God Bless Lady Gaga for her projects with Tony Bennet. She gives life to him.
