When this was filmed 10 years ago I was 11, and now I am 21, the age of Gaga in this video and it is so funny that I thought she was so grown up and 11 year old me thought 21 was old and a proper adult and now I understand she was so so young when she became famous

In the early Fame era she put on a really affected fake accent, but I think it was her way of protecting herself during interviews. She wasn't yet brave enough to be herself all the time so she used her Lady Gaga persona as a kind of shield. She made a similar comment about why she used to wear sunglasses during interviews, it made her feel safe.

I think it was her way of protecting herself and feeling confident when she was afraid. She flew around the world and did all these press tours in one big whirlwind so she had to keep her guard up a lot. She also did the fake accent on stage during the early Fame era but around the time she started calling fans Little Monsters she became very trusting of her audience and stopped caring so much what other people thought.

in some way it´s amazing how Mother Monster´s whole appearence changed for the last 10 years - optically she looks so different now. but ok - there she still was more teeny. Now she is a mature woman. However I loved her then and I love her now!!!

She speaks very clearly with well rounded vowels and with every single sound spoken very clearly when she is touring, she has sounded like this recently as 2012, it isn't a fake accent.

Endokuken she was very nervous and insecure at the time so I’m sure it was partially nerves. Plus her “image” at the time was basically a living breathing version of pop culture therefore she probably wanted to sound a little more proper. Sometimes people don’t have strong accents. I’m from Tennessee, but I barely even have a southern accent.

Animewar Oficial actually she's had like no surgeries at all. She's had fillers & I know she said she used tape on her face to make it look skinner or more shaped a certain way. She's also wearing her makeup differently/not really a lot that much anymore. People say she had a nose job, but I'm not so sure about it, because I think it's makeup making it look different or her getting older & just looking more mature. I mean stress & work ages you mentally & I'm sure that has some toll of her looking a bit different & acting different.

Saving the world gaga is maybe less fun lol but also less shallow.. She's a young woman now and she doesn't only think about partying, having fun, listening to her favorites bands etc.. I don't think she takes herself seriously. It's always a character with gaga.^^

Julien Castle nope not anymore. Her new album is serious, but I'm glad because we get to really see the real her. I mean we know who she is, but we really only know her for the acts & characters she kind of created. It's cool to see the real, raw side of her.

Tyler Lethersin it kinda sucks though because I remember the countless times she insisted in interviews that the glitz and glamor was the real her and she loved the outfits so much that she would wear them on her days off and the bravado was her true self, but now she's basically saying that was all a lie and she hated it. It suddenly dawned on me, I wonder if she's referring to her past persona as the perfect illusion

***** When did she said she hated it?^^ She always said she was a "theater woman living her life between truth and fantasy" and now she's an actress so maybe she has the fantasy/acting part she needs via her characters. :) Gaga always change her style. Now she's like raw, before she was fun, then glamorous, then creepy, then fashion, then retro... Fashion is a part of her identity she just change the look spirit every year. ^^

@@vic2958Gaga used to use this accent during The Fame era because it was a kind of "shield" for her. Her accent made her feel more safe and secure during interviews. It was a way of protection almost for her. Hope this helps! :)

Bury TheBlueberries I think it was just her image & how young she was. I don't think it had anything to do with the school. Also she said she had no classes with her & I know she didn't hang around the popular people, I mean she said so herself.
