Lady Gaga Bad Romance The Orbit † Sire Sasa tutorial 73

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Lady Gaga's Full Body Orbit Dress as seen in Bad Romance music video and Saturday Night Live LoveGame performance.
This was the hardest prop I've ever made and it also took the longest time to make, probably over 16 hours during several days. The Orbit is quite heavy construction even though I tried to make it as light as possible. It's very difficult to put it on and off and move with it.

In my opinion, this is your best tutorial ever!!! And also, you could have made it like this: you could have used the aluminum tape for the sides of the rings and you could have spray painted the top of them to save almost half of your tape

+Greek Little Monster Thank you very much! I wanted to cover them with aluminium tape altogether, but the tape ran out, and it's very expensive, that's why I used spray paint at all.

1: Because I didn't have other suitable materials as big as the cardboard plates. Wood would have required much more time, and it would have been much heavier. 2: Because this was the biggest piece of cardboard I could get and I made the rings as big as possible with it. 3: Because I don't have the money and because one of the points of my tutorials is to teach people to make these things as cheaply as possible since most of my fans don't have much money to spend on materials.

It's really about the perfect drawing of the circles. The way with the pencils taped into the cardboard slide was ingenious, if I can say myself. And my hand can be very steady and the cardboard was super hard to cut, so not easy slippings there.

Because the aluminium tape looks way better. It's more shiny, and now the rings are actually covered in metal. The paint also wears off, when you handle it, a bit on paint goes off every time. The aluminium works better as a mirror too, as you can see in the end of the video, the three innermost rings mirror my hands better than the painted ones. The tape also covers up possible holes and cracks on the cardboard and makes the rings a bit stronger, but unfortunately a slight bit heavier too.

Time is all I have. I substitute costly projects with using more time on them and making them more cheap. While I'm not making props, I can be drawing, playing games (board-/role-playing-/video-), watching movies, filming my own ones or something. Sometimes hanging out with my friends. Most of the time I am alone, and that can be boring from time to time, so I always invent something to do, something to make.

On top of that I admire his absolute confidence dressing up in drag outfits and being comfortable in his sexuality and masculinity at the same time.

Put those nuts between the rings and around the pipes and to the pipes end, so the rings don't fall off. Hot glue the nuts to the pipes. The innermost ring is connected to the innermost pipe from the sides. The second rings is connected to the inner ring with short pipes in front and back. The third ring is connected with short pipes to the second ring at the sides and so on...

Do you people start looking for tutorials at the second Gaga releases something? There cannot be a tutorial video up until a day or two days after the release of something. And that is the earliest possible scenario. Usually you have to waik days, weeks or months to find a tutorial. Now I was very quick. Thank you though!

I made the Orbit Hat with 10 € and it looks good. It depends more of your crafting skills than of the money spent on materials. It's also always a nice challenge to make things cheaply.

Thanks! Unfortunately it won't hold the weight of the rings very well. The cardboard already broke while filming this last scene and in some scenes I am holding the pipe behind my back with a hand. I didn't want to use much more time on this, but I could have glued more layers of cardboard around the part where there are the two holes for the main axle, since that is the part which torn apart and the axle and rings fell off.
