She’s comforting someone about breaking up, attempting to keep the connection lighthearted even though the end of the relationship is near. So yes it has sad undertones, but the energy is very summer-like and youthful.

I mean, it is kind of nostalgic... Even without the lyrics it's got that sort of nostalgic, summer-y vibe, kind of like when the summer's gone and you only remember the sunny, happy moments that happened during it.

If Gaga did a throwback to The fame and sang this at one of her concerts I would literally melt

This was 2007, meaning no iPhones SE with 256GB of storage, and the phones that did allow video recording were extremely basic and the video quality + sound were awful. This might have been taken with a digital camera and due to low storage space the person might have not been able to record the entire show in 4K 60FPS like we all do now. Perhaps the person didn't even know who she was and was saving space for people that performed after her?

I saw her on So You Think You Can Dance that fall and I immediately called my friend to tell her. This live show was CRAZY. Most people had no understanding of what they were watching and just drunk on a hot afternoon. I NEVER thought she would be who she is today.

I remember the summer of 2009, for the release of one summer, has made the online voting for the choice of the individual, in third place was Boys Boys Boys in the second Summerboy and the obvious choice is going on Paparazzi, but is not gaga was never okay to publications and has never sung live the problems of copyright at the time .. now would be different.

I guess lady gaga was a mezzosoprano and she could arrive to high notes, but then her voice changed so she isn't able to sing summerboy
