MGM got into hot water with the Academy when it transpired that the Oscar-winning song 'The Last Time I Saw Paris' had not been written specifically for the picture. The rules were then changed. The song had been inserted to cash in on the Fall of France.

I was so impressed with Ann Southern. She has a beautiful voice! I youtubed her singing, "Last Time I Saw Paris!" Really touched me, the beauty in her as she sings that song. Pure feminine and you do not see that today!

…and without Red Skelton!

This movie would be kind of a bore without Eleanor Powell and Virginia O'Brien.

I wonder if Eleanor Powell was Jane Powell's elder sister ?

No, Jane Powell was born Suzanne Lorraine Burce. They were not related.
