Ladiko Beach, Rhodes:
Ladiko is a small beach located on a beautiful bay 20km south of Rhodes Town and 2km from Faliraki village. Ladiko beach features a tiny picturesque cove that offers visitors some delightful moments under the warm sun. The seashore has fine clean sand, and some small rocks are scattered around as well as many beach facilities, such as umbrellas, sunbeds, freshwater showers and delicious traditional taverns. Ladiko beach tends to get particularly crowded in summer. This cove usually presents a beautiful picture, with small boats sailing near the shore. Lush green vegetation surrounds the beach and creates nice scenery.
The word Ladiko translated in Greek is the container used for storing or storing olive oil. The beautiful beach got its name because it was a commercial loading and unloading point for olive oil. Local fishermen have found several clay containers from shipwrecks around Ladiko is located next to the world-famous Anthony Quinn Bay. Surrounded by the picturesque bay of Ladiko, the beach is now very popular and is a part of several daily excursions by boat.
