I also had this issue in my Himalayan of get the bike serviced... I found starter motor issue and had to get it replaced.... have it checked something is at fault...

The issue you faced has been another major concern with new Royal Enfield Bikes. I faced it while traveling from Jaipur to Gurgaon. Since I didn't realise what was wrong, I kept driving and apparently it broke the outlet pipe inside the tank. Not any mechanic nor RSA people knew what the issue was. The petrol started leaking from the gas outlet duct from inside the tank and then eventually I had to close it with a local jugaad. Then I had to complete the rest of the journey with my petrol tank open for the gas to come out through it.
