@@narashite i think restaurants having such thick heavy broths is why they like instant more.

To be honest if I ever visited Japan, I MIGHT be inclined to eat at Ichiran too. Even after Joey and Garnt have dunked on it, it sounds like an establishment that'd be more tourist-friendly. And from what I've seen, it seems like it's a bigger establishment too. So I don't have to speedrun my ramen in 2 minutes to make room for the next guy. Don't get me wrong, it wouldn't be my first choice. I'd probably try to go to some premium ramen place if I could. But if I'm hungry and don't know the local food that well, it seems like a nice, safe option to me. Especially if what they're saying is true, where indepenent ramen shops fluctuate in quality.

From what I remember, Ichiran is open 24 hours (might have changed). So you can visit like say, after a night out drinking. Also it's honestly not bad. Yes, there are other better ramens out there, but I still like Ichiran.

Ichiran is def a 7/10 if u visit japan lol. Joey and Garnt are honestly just trying to be contrarians, it def isn't a 5/10 or lower as they make it out to be. Although its abit pricey than the avg ramen places u will see. The fact that its everywhere, with a good/easy ordering system, a way to easily adjust your ramen to your liking (oil/spicy/saltiness) makes it a place where its really easy to just grab a bowl and eat. I would 100% recommend trying it once to know a good baseline ramen and then eating other places to compare. To me, its kinda like kura-sushi/sushiro, those 2 are the baseline 7-8/10 sushi places so that you can have a gauge to know what decent sushi is so you can try other more expensive places and compare the taste.

Joey and Garnt are either just being intentionally obtuse or just over reacting to the overall hype around it. Its not the bets ramen ever made, but its not bad. In fact, its really REALLY good. Its just Tokyo, so there is probably some really, REALLY, REALLY!!! good ramen nearby, so they're obnoxious and fake elitist about it.

Yeah, being able to take my time and not be pressured by the chef is valuable. There's a vtuber who got kicked out from a ramen place after adding some of her water to her ramen cause it was too hot for her to eat and was being pressured to hurry up and eat it quickly.

Honestly. Went to Japan literally find a random ramen place that has no customer. Its already a lot better than whatever you can find outside of japan

Pokemon Go's combat never worked for me, if pvp would have been more like the console games I think I'd probably been addicted to the game again

I honestly thought the same a while ago, but if you think about it, its phone game. They need people to log in constanly and if you have normal levels then you wouldnt capture 50 pidgeys. Maybe in a future when we have actual AR, we can have that

As a current pokemon go player the PVP was never that good but the reward where you can get a Legendary pokemon only from PVP reward is worth it

That is a normal marketing trick I see clubs in Miami do it all the time they have promoters bring ppl to the club and make them wait a bit so a long line can form. Once the line looks big enough they start letting ppl in and since there is a big line ppl think the party is jumping and then more ppl go to check the club out. Its not just a Japan thing .

i remember Connor getting screwed over by that one restaurant he ordered off uber eats, the rice was rock hard brick and curry/katsudon was so bad. Connor was so pissed off he wanted a refund. I remember that story Along with each trash taste after dark is delayed because both Joey and Connor order curry and they eat it and Connor spills some of it on himself and delaying the stream even longer.

PoGo's combat was definitely a weird one but it's able to reward having game knowledge as well as experience. Counting the number of moves and finally achieving a perfect suck swap is satisfying. What's sad is all the I said is probably the only good thing about the combat system. Element cup was fun but they should've went for the usual turn base lol

i mean the ichiran in kabukicho is pretty sketch. If you go around 5pm, there is no line and ive actually seen more japanese people and foreigners.
