Proud to be born in the Ahom Community. From Su Ka Pha to Rudra Singha to Lachit Borphukan, the Ahom Kingdom was one of the greatest dynasties in India.

I was posted in Assam for three years (1964-- 67) but never heard about this Hero Lachit Barphukan. To day I read an article in Indian Express written by Shri Anup Kumar Datta in detail about the velour of the Senapati. Thanks Mr Datta.

They Say "Ahoms are not great coz they didn't have an empire", we say, Ahoms were great coz they protected dharma and the Purvanchal and Brahmaputra Basin from the invading evil and much larger armies of Mughals, and maintained Dharma in the region. Jai Lachit Borphokan🇮🇳🚩

I am not from Assam, I am from UP but tears come to my eyes every time I hear about great ahoms and the greatest Lachit Borphukan.

History of Vir Chilarai should be widely acknowledged with all Indians. He was not only one of the greatest wariors but also one of kindest human being. But his bright history as an warior and his kind behaviour with the defeated kings & people unfortunately fails to place in a single page of Indian history as he was being from Koch-Rajbanshi dynasty!!

He belong to Ahom dynasty, who defeated Mughals 17th times... One of the famous battle between Ahom and Mughal is 1671 Battle of Saraighat..where Lachit Barphukan fought and Defeated Mughals.

This should be tough in every school history books.

Ahoms defeated the mughals 17 times with several times smaller army. One of the greatest general warrior who was also one of the greatest scholar of his time in battle tactics. I am so proud of country that gave birth to legendary fighters like Lachit Barphukan, Maharana Pratap, Chtrapati Shivaji, Rani Laxmibai, Raja Raja Chola, Ashoka, Chandragupta Maurya and many more I am proud to be an Indian
