Ive been listening to Flyleaf since I was 13. I'm 30 now. I didn't know Lacey struck out on her own. I'm sitting at work sobbing. Having grown up with her music, her music keeping me company and sane in a time and place where I didnt want to be alive. Now, every day I am also living the impossible. I am here. This song means the world to me. Her music in Flyleaf changed my life, and she's changing my life even now. There's been no other person in this world that has touched my heart and soul like Lacey has, and she has inspired me to be a better, happier person. Lacey is my hero and it's impossible to describe how her new music makes me feel so content, but it does and I'm immensely glad she's continuing the musical path. My faith in music has been restored. This is a very old comment, but worth the reply. I was drawn to Christ through Lacey's music. Imagine that the contentment you receive from her music is just a glimmer of what you will receive directly from God through faith in Jesus Christ. Her and several other of my favorite artists were just good and I didn't know why. Then I noticed some of my peers were just good and I didn't know why. The hints are there, the good shines like a beacon in this wicked world. Make the connection, what makes her music make you feel that way is that it is direct praise of God. You are open to it and can feel it. That is God calling to you through his tools on this earth. Listen to her life story, she was literally pulled from hell on earth by his calling, and today she shares that message with you.

@@twiceborn_by_grace That's very true! And I'm sure God helped you and your family remain strong through the process. I know that he helps me in that way in my own struggles, even though I haven't fully overcome them yet. And I'm happy to acknowledge God in it! I'm trying to get into the habit of doing it more often. Sometimes I think it, but don't say it, because I feel nervous (society being as it is, lol). I'm trying to be more open about it when it comes up. God is so amazing!

I can't believe I just discovered this album. Flyleaf is great but isn't as incredible when you aren't there. Continue making music and we'll keep listening :D

my new headphones broke while playing the impossible on repeat...I forgot how many headphones I broke ever since Flyleaf

I saw lacey Sturm, breaking benjamin, and seether in concert last year in Birmingham Alabama and let me tell you she can run these vocals PERFECTLY live.

Such an awesome song. Sturmtroopers rule!

I'm soooo excited for this!! I love it and it means so much to me. This song makes me think of how my daughter and I were so close to death during child birth. My blood pressure sky rocketed and they had to take her out extremely early. She was born 1 lb 9oz ..she's a healthy 9 year old with no problems and my bp is under control now. But I am so thankful for life and living the impossible!!! I found God again because of it.

I have an infinite amount of respect for you and your faith and family. Wrote a letter to you like, four years ago. Sent it and got a return to sender. Think you had already left Flyleaf by that point. When I found out it was because you wanted to spend more time with your family, it was such a blessing. My mom is a home-maker, was for most of my, my sister's, and my little brother's lives, and I think it is so cool that family is so important to you. +sadat9k1 I agree. To be honest, I have run across a fair amount of folks who didn't know why she left. I do, gently, let them know the reason, and then they are cool with that. Personally, and this is strictly my opinion, I feel she didn't have the same power in her songs after the first album. Since leaving Flyleaf, I feel she is really blossoming in an amazing way. I think it is because she can now go (and grow) where God is personally leading her and Josh, but again, this is strictly my thoughts! :)

+Mr111BigDaddy111 So what do you tell them? I think she needed a break to emotionally catch her breath. Imo I think Lacey very well would have come back if 1. Flyleaf went on hiatus and 2. flyleaf had gone indie. I think the extensive touring is what did her in.

+Sarah Bailey Hi! I agree with all you said. I think it was a mainly to raise her child, as she had stated. However, I feel she was getting worn out and feeling overextended. That is why I felt some of the awesome power and exuberance of Lacey was strained, at least somewhat, as time went on. Thus why I liked Flyleaf's first album the most. I am not saying her later music was sub-par, not at all. I just felt it was less, "free." Again, just my opinion, to some they may have liked the latter more.
